When we were thirty feet away from the cave, the procession abruptly stopped.

And he froze. There, in the exact center of his sterile, gray quarters, where no soil had ever been, a flower grew. It was a delicate, impossible thing. Its petals were a deep, velvety black that seemed to drink the light, and at its center, a stamen glowed with a soft, internal blue radiance. It was a species he recognized from galactic archives: a Nyx Bloom, native to a planet whose atmosphere would liquefy a human in seconds. It was a biological impossibility. A miracle.

I refuse to cry or beg him, I will not give him that as he pushes his way into me. Checking out mentally from my body I visualise a calming beach oasis, focus on the soothing waves, block him out of my world until I pass out from blood loss and mercifully the world goes dark.

The blood stain on it did not hide it's immaculate and beautiful nature. She puffed smoke in the air and took a sip of the liquor beside her, as she glared at the bleeding rose with sad and anguish filled eyes, it told a lot about her and her agony. She was as beautiful as the rose in front of her.

The nickname had stuck to her since her childhood days. I reached out for the light switch and turned it on. Full lights brightened the half-dark balcony. She was wearing a short-sleeved purple dress and a pair of brown platform shoes. Her silver necklace shone under the bright lights. Her purple locket was attached to her necklace. I could not miss the view of her beautifully, manicured nails painted in amethyst. It was clearly obvious that she had just returned from an outing. She looked ravishing as usual. She is Kimberly White, the only girl child and the last child of my family. Purple is the most adored person in the family.
