Feral on the Ice

Feral on the Ice

"It’s a heartbeat. But it’s not ours. It’s older than the Source. It’s older than the first bit of code." Rhys sat at his console, but for the first time, he wasn't typing. He was simply listening, his headset discarded. "The obsidian tablet isn't translating it into text, Elara. It’s translating it into... feelings. Grief. Longing. A profound sense of 'Missing'." Princess Cromwell and Her Six Brothers

Amelia patted his head: "Yes, Prosperity Deity will scan your code for you." Elijah immediately took out a QR code and handed it to Carl: "Hehe, Prosperity Deity." Carl smiled faintly, took out his phone, scanned the code, entered 1,778 and confirmed the payment. Amelia took the notebook and walked over to Eileen: "Last time we were in a hurry. This is your father's handwriting. See if you can find any unusual clues in it." Eileen took the notebook and flipped through it page by page. Most of the content was about how to authenticate artifacts. She flipped through it several times but didn't find anything unusual.

Turning the Tables

Turning the Tables

Taylor, determined to strip me down to my last penny, squared her shoulders and began shaking the dice cup again. She even stood up, planted one foot on the table, closed her eyes, muttering some words while her hands flailed around. “Open!” We all looked at her dice cup. Three sixes and two fives—twenty-eight points! In all the previous rounds, no matter how I rolled, my highest was twenty-two. Even so, Taylor put on a fake disappointed face. “Oh no, only three sixes? I clearly asked the spirits for five. Looks like this time I’m going to lose.”

Whispers of the Void What Lurks Beneath the Abyss

Whispers of the Void What Lurks Beneath the Abyss

Phil looked around and saw shelves of books pertaining to human psychology and the history of cultures, the room was filled with the smell of dust and musty old books similar to a library. "Curious?" Seth asked as he saw Phil looking at the tablet he was investigating. Phil nodded with a look of curiosity in his eyes. "It's a record talking about a land past the streams of Oceanus close to the Meadows of Asphodel, where the spirit of the dead resides." Seth explained and smiled at Phil cryptically. Seth then carefully placed the clay tablet in a sealed box. Phil's clear confusion can be seen in his face as he did not understand what Seth was talking about.

The Tycoon’s Temptress - Red Flower’s Chase

The Tycoon’s Temptress - Red Flower’s Chase

My fingers tremble slightly as I take them into my hand. “While you were gone… I didn’t just rest,” I confess, looking up at him. A faint smile tugs at the corner of his mouth—I can see my planned performance replaying behind his eyes. “I studied the tablet again, the one from Gilgamesh’s tomb.” Raffaele’s eyes narrow, cautious but now curious. “There’s that poem carved into the back. I’ve read it a thousand times before, but this time something clicked.” I clear my throat and recite the lines, my voice quiet but steady:

A Queen Among Tides

A Queen Among Tides

I try to think if I’d read or heard about anything like that or seen anything like that kept in our vault, but I’m coming up blank. I shake my head, “I can’t recall seeing anything like that,” I say guiltily. It’s the one thing they ask for and I can’t give it to them. “This tablet, does it have glyphs on it?” Lemuel suddenly asks, surprising me. Isolde begins to nod furiously, “Yes! It’s written in the language of the Gods. Have you seen it?” “I think I have, and so have you,” Lemuel says, looking at me.

Another amazing book! I feel as though each book is my favorite in this series and I love the representation. This particular author has an amazing way of challenging vernacular and using it to empower her characters. Her world building has you vested in the outcome of the story and characters.

This book is amazing so far! This entire series is so freaking good!! The author does such a great job building this expansive world and tying everything together. If you love world building/expanding books, start reading the "A Queen Among" stories, you won't be disappointed!

The Rogue Healer's Secret

The Rogue Healer's Secret

Near the center of the table, Fenrir's empty chair remained entirely untouched—a quiet, heavy reminder of the redemption and the friend they had so recently lost. Elyria stepped forward, placing a weathered, obsidian stone tablet onto the center of the table. "This script... it is older than the Seven Fragments themselves." The ancient carvings were jagged, eroded by time, and almost impossible to read. She traced the grooves with her fingertips, translating them slowly for the room: > "When the Eighth Throne awakens... > The Child of Dawn shall face himself. > One shall become Hope. > The other shall become Despair."

The Luna Queen's Rebirth

The Luna Queen's Rebirth

Ellie’s POV The ruins looked even more grand close up. The pillars were far larger than I expected them to be; from afar, they looked big, but up close, they were enormous. Two of us couldn’t even reach around them and have our hands touch, and they were carved with intricate reliefs that had worn down over time but were still visible; images that looked similar to the one I’d seen on the tablet my mother had, depicting wolves and trees and starry constellations, all coming together to create beautiful scenes of life and death and the cosmos.

His Forbidden Human Mate

His Forbidden Human Mate

I answered, my curiosity instantly piqued. "Hey, Keera," Gabe said, his voice animated. "I need you to grab your tablet and check the file I just sent you." His words tumbled out in a rush. "I just made a breakthrough, and I think you'll want to see this." I tossed off my covers and swung my legs over the side of the bed. My tablet lay on the nightstand, and I quickly booted it up. My fingers shook with anticipation and an excited shiver skated through me. I felt like I could scream. "What am I looking for?" I asked after my tablet had booted.

The Forbidden Mates

The creature turned and walked, then stopped and looked at them again. "Let's follow it!" All three then followed the tracks of the strange beast. Meanwhile, in the human world, Karmen was in the neglected courtyard of the Garden, with Ross and Tyler by her side, and the tablets levitating. She repeatedly read the texts inscribed on the tablets, arms wide open and eyes closed. The relics became unstable and a cool breeze blew through the city of Newcastle. The sky rumbled, announcing a heavy rain. The tablets began to crack and eventually shattered completely. Leaving room for the two fragments of the moon that attracted each other like magnets. They merged into one piece and around it, a vo
