Vespa After a long day of classes and assignments, Ria and I were craving some comfort food. We ordered pizza from Pizza Hut and chose the pepperoni pizza with extra cheese with garlic breadsticks on the side. "Why is the delivery guy taking so much time?" I groaned, impatient and checked my phone every few minutes. "He's here." I rushed to the door with excitement, grabbed the pizza box, paid the guy, and grabbed two plates to serve myself and Ria.

She was so miserable back then and seeing her smile right now is the most amazing thing that can highlight my year so far. I waited no time and I walked closer to them. I grabbed a pizza and the cheese was so sticky! The flavor that we have is spinach and pepperoni. From the look of it, it was decent but looked delicious. Like a homemade pizza that someone’s gentle mother would do. Like, a diligent son will be proud of. “Please, give me honest feedback, Ma’am,” Becca begged for me, her eyes were genuinely worried, “Ma’am Jill and Ma’am Shane said nothing but good and I am still not confident. I think that they were just being kind to me!”

“Specifically from Alessandro’s over on Grand Street.” I blinked, the name dragging a dormant memory from the back of my mind. Alessandro’s. It was an absolute hole-in-the-wall Italian joint with mismatched wooden chairs and a menu written in smudged white chalk. “Alessandro’s?” I repeated, my voice slightly incredulous. She nodded, her confidence completely unwavering. “Best pizza in the entire city. Hands down.” “Fine. Pizza it is.” I said, turning the wheel and heading toward Grand Street.

The others didn't notice their interaction as they focused on thinking about what food they want. “I think pasta will be nice.” Sirene suggested. She raised her hand a little. “Pesto, please. And steak with extra gravy.” The worker nodded and noted it. “I'll have pesto as well and honey garlic chicken, 5 pieces. Please, add steak with extra gravy.” Soheila said. “I heard they added a new list last few months ago.” Luna said and sat properly. “It's popular lately, it's called pizza.” She continued. “Hawaiian pizza.”

I'm guessing to order pizza. "Alright I ordered 10 pizzas since the gang is coming over. 2 cheese, 2 pepperoni, 2 sausage, 2 supremes and 2 meat lovers. I also got 8 2 liters and 5 orders of breadsticks. I hope that's enough for everyone especially with our pregnant friends." He mumbles out as we all sit on the couch waiting for our friends. Around 4:30 someone knocks on the door. I go open the front door and there's most of our friends with bags of food in their arms. I see 3 big bags from Buffalo Wild Wings, 2 bags from Chipotle, 4 bags from Texas Roadhouse, 2 bags from Burger King and a grocery bag full of ice cream. "Damn guys that's a lot of food. I don't even look at it; I just order chicken pizza with cheese and catupiry. "Have you already chosen?" I ask as I put the menu back on the table. "Good evening, gentlemen," Sebastian appears with his order pad. I'm glad he didn't act like he knows me; I don't want anyone to know that I need to work before I graduate from college. "Chicken pizza with cheese and catupiry and for Miss..." "Four cheese, please." "Your orders will be delivered in a moment," Sebastian says and leaves. "How old are you really?"

By noon this place is packed and sold out. We sit. “What you getting?” I ask. She tells me, and I go to order our food. I get my usual, Italian sausage, green pepper, and cheese pizza puff. Massive. Basically a small pizza folded inside out with beer-batter crust and dipping sauce. Tempest orders an Italian beef with mozzarella cheese, extra cheese, hot and sweet peppers, toasted. We split fries. Drinks are self-serve. I bring the drinks back with the table number and sit down.
