Christopher “Who are they?” Esmeralda’s voice had a stern, angry edge as her eyes glowed green once again. I looked at her, confused at her sudden anger, alarmed. I knew then and there, something was terribly wrong. “What’s wrong?” I asked, almost instantly. “Who are they?” She asked again. “They are Miracle’s family.” I replied. Her body visibly relaxed as her eyes returned to their normal colour. She frowned, looking at them, still not saying anything as she observed them.

I was expecting her to say yes to sitting with me, I really shouldn't have offered but I couldn't help it. "So Jaxson, I'm Esmeralda." She extended her hand. I extended my hand to shake hers, thinking about her interesting name. Esmeralda. She reminded me of a gypsy when she was dancing, which made her name fitting since she seemed to have a free spirit about her. And then it hit me, the name from Victor Hugo's book. The same name that he had given to his gypsy character. I had always been drawn to that character for her spunk and determination.

She seemed to show great interest in my ability to see the future. “What did you say your wolf’s name was again?” She asked. She smiled, calm as ever. “I didn’t come to collect anything.” I didn’t respond. “I just came to see if you were still... loyal.” My throat tightened. “I still have time.” She stepped closer, her voice barely above a whisper. “You’ve always had a soft heart, Aquamarine,” she added. “Just remember not everyone deserves it. Everything felt unstable. The world was shifting, and Esmeralda knew this chaos was the perfect time to secure her place. She touched the necklace resting against her chest. It had once belonged to Princess Dana. A gift, given with false kindness. The irony made her lips curve into a faint smile.

Only after hearing her low growl did I realize I was pushing too far with the release of my power. Esmeralda was a cunning wolf, appearing both strong and shrewd. Despite her injuries, her beauty was undeniable. Her dark green eyes, though not as vibrant and captivating as Callie’s, framed her striking face. Her lips were full but subtly thin, her fair skin complemented her brown hair, and her overly large chest made her seem taller than my blind wolf.

Esmeralda stepped forward, her presence commanding yet calm. She was wrapped in flowing robes that whispered with every movement, her silver hair cascading like a waterfall down her back. Her eyes sparkled with ancient wisdom, and I felt an overwhelming respect wash over me. She was beautiful , and even my quadruplet mates were blown away by the sight.
