Esmeralda groaned again, throwing her hands up in frustration. “I’m not shy! I just—” She paused, searching for the right words, but her blush deepened further, making Zara and me giggle even more. “You two are impossible.”
“You love us,” I teased, nudging her with my shoulder.
She huffed, trying to appear annoyed, but the tiny smile tugging at her lips gave her away. “I’m going to throw you both in the lake,” she muttered, but there was no real threat in her voice.
