Charlotte POV: "Do you think I made enough cookies?" I stared at the piles and piles of freshly baked cookies that were covering every inch of the counter. I made a small variety of shortbread, chocolate chip macadamia cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and macadamia cookies. The chocolate chips and nuts sunk deeply into the soft, baked dough, making sure that the eater had a taste of them with each and every bite. "If Timothy stops eatin' them they'll be more than enough." Raven sneered.

"Make sure to put them on our tab." The pairs of eyebrows now shoot up in disbelief, and the entire bakery erupts into cheers. Chuckling at the lively atmosphere, Max and I pay for the orders before stepping outside to enjoy our cookies on one of the benches. It's a beautiful February night, and we don't want it to go to waste. But you can only imagine my shocked reaction when I spot the man who's savoring his pistachio-flavored French macaroons on the bench next to ours. "Eddie?"

So at least they had gotten things done before they were distracted. “I see. Well, thank you. And glad your arm is feeling better. You both should probably go wash up and get ready. We have memorials today.” I nodded.

They are for Miss Hyest.” I stopped mid-chew and set my coffee down on the table. It was like the world had stopped around me. “Miss Hyest? Why? Did she ask you to buy them for her?”

Bailey POV Orion considers the spread thoughtfully for a minute, the hesitation making me anxious. “ Come on, I'm dying of anticipation.” I jab at him and he smiles then points to a tray next to me. "Definitely the croissants. I like all three varieties. The cinnamon rolls are a must and the honey lavender scones are unique enough to be a signature item. And these…" he holds up one of the chocolate chip cookies, "...are perfect. Don't change a thing about them."
