I clear my throat as I step inside, and the sound is a gunshot in the quiet.
Alpha Nathan and Luna Katia jump apart like I’ve just caught them plotting treason — or something far more scandalous. Katia moves fast, a streak of black hair and silk as she darts toward the little fridge in the corner like it’s a shield, yanking out a bottle of water for Nathan.
