Alpha's Heaven
Away from what I knew I’d never truly escape.
The music changed to something slow, graceful. People started to gather in the middle for the first dance of the night. All around me, couples found each other, laughter and love floating between them.
But before Damian could reach me and before he could ask for that first dance or even say my name—a voice broke through the haze.
“Hey, Skye.”
I turned.
And there was Evan.
In a crisp white shirt and gray slacks, his posture relaxed, confident—but his eyes, those striking silver-blue eyes, were sharp with something unspoken. He took one look at me, at my dress, ans my face then that signature smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth.
