Eve Novels Novels & Stories

The doors slid open again, and Eve boarded the elevator and pushed the button for the top floor, waiting as it moved slowly. Finally, the doors slid open and she stepped into a dark hallway, her eyes darting towards the end where she caught sight of her dreaded enemy. It was unmistakeably Bella George who was walking towards her direction, and Eve's eyes widened in shock, fear washing through her. What was she to do? Had Bella seen Ava already? Would she...? Eve stood still like a deer caught in the headlights, frozen by nervousness as Bella drew closer to her. She must have seen her by now...

and went back to her book. "Chapter one," she said. "I'm still reading it to you." "Maya...." "Chapter. One." She cleared her throat with theatrical ceremony. "In the city of Vel Anara, where the dead walked freely and the living paid for the privilege—" Eve's phone buzzed on the nightstand. She glanced at the screen. Damon. She answered it, already reading his energy through the bond before he spoke....that particular cold clarity that meant he'd found something and the something was not equipment error and not an animal.

* And that haunting truth followed us. Eve hadn’t spoken much since the Iceland incident. She ate, slept, stared. Her eyes glowed faintly in the dark, like they were recalibrating the world around her. Adrian watched her constantly, like he was waiting for her to glitch—like she might suddenly turn on us. I couldn’t blame him. I watched her too. But Eve didn’t falter. She drew pictures. Pages and pages of things she shouldn’t know. Maps of underground bases. Faces of people we’d never met. Chemical formulas. Frequencies.

( Hello, this is a trigger warning. As you progress this book, there are some occurrences that are considered grotesque and unpleasant. I'm talking about Abuse and violent scenes. So I strongly suggest that if you can't handle it, you skip this one out. Thank you and God bless. This chapter is long, that is because it is a completed version of all events ) (EVE'S POV)

The air was thick with a nauseating scent. As I approached the bed, my whole body began to shake uncontrollably. Eve lay there, naked and motionless, like a shattered doll. Her face was ghostly pale and damp with sweat, while her hair was a tangled mess, with strands sticking to her cheeks. Her body was covered in bruises, with red scratches crisscrossing her skin. Eve’s lower half was in an even worse state. A beer bottle, its neck stained black, was roughly lodged there. The surrounding skin was swollen and raw, the dried blood dark and crusted.

“The Black Blood, the hybrid lineage of Lilith and Draven. At last, it awakens.” Evelyn opened her eyes. Humanity was gone. Her voice came out raw, inhuman: “You wanted a purge of blood?... Let me oblige.” A wave of crimson burst outward. Dozens of hunters were hurled back, weapons melting in their hands. The ground itself turned scarlet. Adrian lunged toward her, grabbing her arm. “Eve! Stop! You’re not a monster!” “Get out of here!” she screamed, shoving him away. “I can’t control it!”

**Evelyn** As I waited for the car, I allowed the adrenaline coursing through me to settle. The street was eerily quiet, a stark contrast to the chaos that had just unfolded inside. My gloved hands flexed at my sides as I replayed the exchange in my head, analyzing every detail. Killian wanted me to prove myself, and I planned to exceed his expectations. But this wasn’t just about him—it was about reclaiming the power I’d always known I was destined for. It was about getting revenge. It was about proving father wrong.

Eve’s POV I woke up feeling the worst hangover ever. The pillow smelled like Devin's cologne. That was odd. Why did my pillow smell like Devin? I cracked one eye open and immediately regretted it. The morning light was a personal attack. The room tilted gently, then righted itself, then tilted again just to be spiteful. My mouth tasted like something had died in it.
