Shawn pulled out his phone again and opened our chat window. For a moment, I felt a flicker of hope. Jenna’s face turned pale. Her eyes reddened as if she was about to cry. However, Shawn simply blacklisted my number. It felt like I had been thrown into an icy abyss. I was trembling. Shawn said, “There. Now she won’t bother us anymore.” Jenna’s expression brightened. She quickly leaned her head against Shawn’s shoulder and spoke in a soft and delicate voice.

He went on. I found my self unable to fathom these very words he uttered next. They kept on ringing in my head. "It's the hospital," he continued. "Your sister passed away this morning." "What?!"
