Evie turned to Cedric and gave him a grateful smile. “Thank you for the carriage ride Brother Cedric, Brother Ralph,” she said before getting out of the vehicle. “Evely, here!” Cedric called, and when Evie turned to him, he handed her a gold and a black card with numbers. “Call me or Ralph when you need help.” Evie blinked several times, not understanding how calling them had to do with cards, but took them in her hand anyway. She wondered if the cards had some type of magic in it that could summon or call them. In any case, Evie would figure it out later.

Maybe if he had been more than a coward then the outcome will be a bit different. He was going to just remain by her side as a friend and watch out for her. Maybe this wasn’t meant to be. He was happy to see that she was happy and doing okay. After the last class for the day the students were cheering happily and they all left the classroom with their satchels. Evie was seventeen and came from a middle-class family, both of her parents were primary school teachers and very loving and caring. Evie was the second child and the only girl in the family.

Evie watched his eyes gaze at her scorchingly, and she swallowed, she tried to think of what to say, but no thoughts could form in her head, she just stood there, heart pounding erratically. Blake gulped as his eyes fell on her chest, she was wearing a cardigan but he could see the faint outline of her nipples; his teeth clenched as he imagined how naked she was inside of that single clothing… Evie’s breath raged, she involuntarily licked her lower lip as her hand clutched the end of her cardigan. She clutched the card tightly, her fingers pressing into the delicate paper as she swallowed back tears. Damn him. “Really?” He nods. “Really.” Scarlett lifts her tiny pinkie finger. “Pinkie promise?” Roy chuckles, linking his pinkie with both of theirs. “Promise.” Just then, something—or rather someone—catches my eye. “Wait… is that Evie?” I squint and wave. “Evie! Evie!” She turns, that familiar, warm smile lighting up her face before she walks over with quick steps and open arms. We throw ourselves into a long hug.

I still didn't think I knew how to feel, my heart pounding wildly in my chest as I opened the elevator and stepped inside. The air in the elevator was warm, and I wrapped my arms around me, savoring the soothing feeling when a pair of hands suddenly grabbed me from behind. I spun around immediately dazed and shocked, but before my brain could register what was happening, a weird odour engulfed my nose, going straight into my lungs and knocking me out completely.

Pete was hell-bent on ending him, and probably me too. A knock at the door broke my reverie. It creaked open, revealing a familiar pink head. Ahvi grinned when she saw me, then stepped in, her outfit matching her vibrant hair—a pink corset, a black skirt with pink swirls, and a white blouse. "We wondered if you were awake," she began, clearing her throat. "We?" "Come in, guys! She is up," Ahvi called out. I raised an eyebrow as the door opened wider, revealing Kyle, Jagger, and Daelan stepping into my chambers. Their nervous and curious expressions almost made me laugh.

She handed a shade of pink to Jeannette, “This one is called Lady Danger.” Jeanette stared at it for a moment, “Mm, too vampy.” Madame Tilly handed her a different shade, “Crume Cup,” “Not vampy enough,” Jeanette replied, a little less audible.

I set the book aside and padded to the door, my heart pounding with anticipation. As I swung open the door, a surprised gasp escaped my lips. Timothy stood on the other side, a warm smile curving his lips. His hazel eyes sparkled with an inviting warmth that made my heart skip a beat. "Hey, Evie," he greeted, his voice a soothing melody. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything." A wave of relief washed over me, quickly followed by a surge of delight. "No, not at all," I replied, almost stumbling over my words. "Come on in."
