EVIE POV I couldn’t get a wink of sleep, I kept turning and tossing and waking up at any slight sound in my bedroom. At some point, I woke up sweating and breathing heavily from a nightmare. In the dream, I was cornered by them in an abandoned building, where they threatened to kill me. I woke up just as one of them was about to drive a knife into me. All morning as I go about doing my chores, I keep thinking about how to convince my parents to let me take Ethan’s place.

She stepped up to the central console. “The mother survived,” she said, her voice polished, precise, intimate in its menace. “But don’t fool yourselves. Evie responds shyly, clueless about what to do. "I am here to refund your umbrella and to help you out with your project" Zoe informs and offers her the umbrella. "Oh!" As all Evie could say, she takes the umbrella. "Thanks for lending it to me, it greatly helped" Zoe sounded grateful. Evie nods with a smile and quickly averts her gaze to the floor. She doesn't know why she feels so shy talking to her, it's unlike her being shy and conserving. She's always open and more of the adventurer type.
