Grey held my left hand and pulled me to the extremely long ticket line. "This stupid ass line is so fucking long and that guy is so slow, we'll probably get our tickets when the carnival closes", the oh-so familiar voice said in front of us. "Cam", he turned around to see me, along with the girl he was with. She was so fucking beautiful by the way; bright green eyes, brown hair and she looked Mexican and very familiar. "Evie, you're here, Ari, meet Eve, my friend and Eve, meet Ari, my new girlfriend", he pointed to her and I shook hands with her. She looked so fucking familiar but I couldn't put my finger on where exactly I'd seen her before.

I can’t wait to get my results, then we are going to be free to hold hands whenever we want. “You are never going to guess who was taking her test too,” I say to distract myself from my own thoughts. “Who?” He says distractedly. “Eliza Evans.” “The girl with the dreadlocks? Ugh, I do hope she tests negative, she has such a bad temper she is not suited to be a mom,” Zack jokes. “She is not that bad,” I say. “You probably haven’t spent much time around her, but apparently no one in her group can stand her, she is too selfish and temperamental. Abednego had stumbled back a few more steps and then had frozen. He felt simultaneously terrified and embarrassed. He has fought horrible creatures, dangerous enough to skin you alive and was retreating in horror from one infant. He got hold of back bag, got out a magic dagger and mercilessly slit the infant's throat.

Someone shouted into the empty house everyone had left for the party " _----------Jack POV. ---------- "Eve come down, " I told her trying to grab her hand but she ran into the dark cloud "Hey, what happened to you will run, " I said she could not hear me, and then I thread a familiar growl that was the demon I knew I had to fight at least it was better than fighting a cloud the darkness kept rising until I couldn't see my hands in front of my face. "let's fight, "I tried to turn but nothing happened back in my room I turned and was just as shaken as Eve my grey fur had turned black

Evie stood alone in the center, sweat glistening on her forehead as she practiced forming shields of flame. I watched as she repeated the process so many times that I lost count. Each attempt lasted a little longer than the last. Scanning the area, I noticed that Elder Mara was nowhere in sight. She was training even after everyone else had gone to bed. All for Tommy. I liked that she wasn’t doing it to impress anyone but to protect her child. I watched silently until one of the shields collapsed, and Evie let out a frustrated sigh. “You’ve been standing there for five minutes.”

She ran her finger along the spines. “Third edition... third edition...” Damien stood a few feet away, watching her search. “You're looking too low.” She glanced over her shoulder. “I'm not.” “You are.” She rolled her eyes and reached higher. The movement dislodged a book from the upper shelf. It slipped forward. Evie barely had time to react before it fell. Damien moved quickly. So did she. Both reached for it at the same time. Their fingers touched the cover. Neither moved.

"Really, Hank Sandoval? You still think that I was the one who betrayed you at a time like this? "If I hadn't been rescued from the casket earlier, I would've already been burned alive in the fire you just set!" The rest of the Sandovals' friends and family members finally realized that the person standing next to me was really Evie, and looks of horror crossed their faces. "Wait, didn't she die jumping into the river? How did she come back to life? Aah, she's a zombie!" "Look at her arms and legs! The injuries from before are all gone. Were we lied to this whole time? Maybe she was never dead at all!"

She was weird — and beautiful. “Well, I hope you have the courage now,” I said with a smile I usually don’t wear. She looked at me and then down. “I-I am Evie. Evie Davies.” “Well, welcome Evie. Now, why would he appoint you? I’ve never worked with a female assistant before. What’s so special in you?” She started thinking nervously. To be honest, I was also thinking about why Trev would appoint anyone? Did he do it for me? And does she know where he is?
