His eyes glow brighter as he stares at her face. She starts shuddering and convulsing her hands clenching and unclenching. Then suddenly her spine arches, she screams again. Merlin moves his hand from her stomach to grab for the crystal which had slid off her and onto the mattress. Ash and Kai step back as a black ichor starts climbing out of her mouth and nose.

But my excitement quickly dimmed; they were nothing like I thought they would be.
