Xavier breathes a sigh of relief and slumps onto a stool. Xander smiles and opens his arms when he sees his son running toward him. His chair almost flies sideways when Damien jumps into his lap and wraps his arms around him. Xander chuckles and pats his son's back as Damien buries his face in his neck. The older retired Beta stiffens when he hears his son sniffle. He turns his attention away from the game that he miserably lost, and caresses Damien's back. “What's wrong?” “I…I… I'm so glad you're still here! I wouldn't be able to live without you! I love you so much, daddy!” Damien cried into his father's neck.

Red caught my eye and gave me a nod as if to say, "Just give it to him." "Dad," the young guy next to him said. So he was Dax and Lola's son. I hadn't realized they had any children. Dax didn't look at him. I put a glass of scotch down for him, and Dax said, "Just give me the whole bottle." "Dad," his son repeated. "Mom wouldn't want this." "Your mom doesn't want anything," Red replied sadly. "She's gone, and she's never coming back."

My father smiles, knowing what I am thinking. Turning his head to look at his father as if hoping to receive some sort of explanation. "Curious." He says as he begins to walk around me, his hand on his chin in contemplation. I watch as Darius' eyes shift back and forth from his father to me as if hoping one of us will tell him what's going on. "What? What the hell is all of this about?" Darius shouts at his father. Damien reached up and placed his hand on top of his father's. "I know. You don't have to worry about him anymore. He's better, father, please cut him some slack. It kills him what he did to me. He had no control over it. Now he does, and it's eating him up... Please!" Xander lets out a sigh as he tilts his head before dropping his hand. "Okay. I won't be so hard on him... But only for you." Damien smiled and kissed his father on the cheek. "Thank you!" Xander smiled as his son practically bounced past him. Theo gave a shy smile and waved at Xander as he walked past, causing Xander to chuckle.

The room then fell silent for a minute. My dad then opened one of the drawer on his desk and took a folder out. Setting it on his desk he took a deep breath before looking at me in the eye, "this is a contract arranged by your grandparents and Xavier's" he starts. "This contract was made when me and your uncle were both around 5. Your grandparents made a contract together with Xavier's that the first born son of Damon and first born daughter of mine shall be married." he continues making me froze. I'm the first born daughter of my dad and the only daughter. That means I shall be married to uncle Damon's first born son. Which is...Xavier.

Even though Lelia, Amelia and Diana started laughing, Duke looked at Xavier and said, "Handle my son. Otherwise, I will turn you from best friend to best enemy." Xavier smiled softly at Duke's words and said, "Come on, buddy, where else can you find a better son-in-law than my son? Before you say anything to my son, look at your sons. They are also crazy about Stanley and Diana's two daughters, Alina and Emily. Stanley doesn't tell you to handle your sons, so why are you telling me?"

I said softly, already picturing it. “Exactly,” he replied, his thumb brushing my cheek. “That’s why we should make things work out. For their sake. If we have a daughter, I’d really love to name her Karen.” “And if we have a son,” I said, “I’d love to name him Liam.” We both smiled. Seems like the whole Xavier and his father issue can’t come up today, I thought. Today is a good day to let that type of conversation ruin everything. Maybe it’s just a sign I shouldn’t tell Maddox yet.
