She embraced me once again before holding my hands in hers and pulling to where Dad was. “ Dad. ” I called out seeing him in tears already. “ Little Angel. ” He stood up and embraced me rather tightly as we both broke down in tears. I missed all of it. My dad's pampering, his intense care and love. “ Dad. ” My voice came out barely in a whisper. “ I’m sorry we left you so early. ” The pain in his voice was evident. “ I’m sorry we left you to yourself in a cruel world. We are sorry, Baby. ”

Mom hurried inside before us to take her seat at the bench up front while dad and I waited for our que. “You look beautiful today, Marri.” Dad’s deep voice is thick as he speaks to me. With a deep breath he starts his small speech. “Know that I am so very sorry for how all this came to be. I am sorry for not being the father I should have been. For taking loans I could never repay and mostly for giving away you.” His voice breaks as tears start to fall down his cheeks. I wrap my arms tightly around him. I blink as I fight the tears from falling.

OCTAVIUS POV (Age 15) "I'm sorry, Dad. I'm so sorry," I whisper as I stroke back my father's brown hair. I avoid looking at his neck. I already closed his lifeless eyes, so if I avoid looking at his neck, I can pretend he is still with me. I can pretend I am apologizing to the man who raised me by himself.

She quickly read the letter though she didn’t want to. She was not ready for what was inside. “Mom, I’m sorry again for disappointing you. Please forgive me and don't get mad at me.
