Jack explained, chuckling almost nervously. His words made my entire body freeze; Jack saw Joseph as an old man. But in my eyes, and in the eyes of the other students, Joseph looked like he was in his mid- to late 20s. “How old would you say Joseph is?” I asked, curiously. Jack thought about it for a moment before shrugging. “I don’t know, maybe like 80 or 90,” he said in return. “Which is why he has people helping him during the day. I smiled. Wait, I just got a new friend. What should I give to him? Suddenly, Maraleona hopped out of the kitchen and I staggered back, almost dropping to the ground. Jack quickly barked and rushed to me. Her face was pale and she quickly. She was just a six year old beauty with curly hair and charming blue eyes, the type that immediately stole the fancy of Jack. His grip around her body tightened and he pulled her more into his figure. When they broke the hug, Jack looked into Jenny’s eyes and suddenly smelled the musky scent of the jungle from her body. He sniffed her again and confirmed that she was the source of that scent. He was getting drowned in the scent. Jenny was feeling weird. Before she could ask anything, Jack’s eyes turned yellow and started glowing and the only word he said was, “Mate” Jenny gasped and covered her mouth with her hands. She had watched many of the movies and dramas. Jack’s stares were like some of them. She kept looking at him, and soon his eyes turned back. But the gentleness in his eyes was replaced by desire.

I smirk, "more like my mates. Plural Jack. They're quite territorial you know?" He gawps, "two? Mates? That's just a legend!" He gasps. I shake my head, "no legend." I move my neck from side to side and show him the marks. Jack's face pales and he swallows with a nod, "lets just get this done so I can go back to my pack." After shifting into our wolves, we start circling. Jack is a big black wolf with a white flash across his tail, and piercing blue eyes; not beautiful, but freaky. It doesn't go with his wolf or his nature.

Jack appears in the doorway leading to their room and I stride over to him quickly, peaking around his broad chest into the room and spotting Cassie sitting in the middle of the bed staring at nothing in particular. No words are spoken, but Jack and I make eye contact and then I am sliding between him and the door frame and sitting carefully on the bed next to my best friend.
