All the moans from the pain left me panting for air, with only the ventilator to keep me from suffocating. Suddenly, the ventilator stopped, and the air purification machine beside me stopped, plunging my surroundings into silence. Without the ventilator's help, my breathing grew rapid, and my pain grew even more intense. With the air purification system shut down, the supposedly sterile room was now no different from any other location. The surgery to remove eyeballs was an extremely risky procedure, and without proper environmental conditions, an infection would be inevitable. A confused voice rang out from outside. "The power's out! What happened?"

Hearing your thoughts and seeing what you can see… What's the difference? I did not reply. I merely showed her what the difference was. In front of Snowie's stunned gaze, I thrust my finger into my right eye and forcibly plucked my eyeball out. Of course, there would not be blood or gore. After all, my right eye was a prosthetic.

The space was like a transparent mirror, showing all signs of cracks. Countless blackholes blew out from these cracks in the void like ripples on the water. At times, the blackholes were crashing onto the void, smashing out high tides and wildfire. At other times, they were annihilating chaos, forming a black region around them. Black region, just like how it sounded, was a region that was in complete darkness. It was caused by too many cracks in the void that caused the starlight in the planet to be blocked completely. The surrounding environment would be pitch black.

His eyes… Oh, God, his eyes were the blackest black I’d ever seen. So deep. So endless. Like two black holes that could swallow me whole if I stared too long. They were terrifying but also so captivating, like something dangerous that you shouldn’t want… but you can’t help it. That was how I felt about those eyes. Even in that brief moment, I saw them clearly, and something inside me wanted to kneel, to give in, just to make sure those eyes would look at me again. It was crazy, but it was real.

The face staring back at Ava from the swirling vortex of darkness was her own. It was identical in every feature, every expression, every sharp line and subtle curve. The similarity was uncanny, a perfect mirror image cast across the cosmos. The only true difference lay in the eyes. Where Ava's eyes held the fragile, flickering light of human emotion, the shadow’s eyes were completely, utterly black. The golden black specks in her eyes have the pull of a black hole, the power that emanates from them is cosmic and they shine with colors the spectrum has forgotten. Yet, they are such beautiful eyes, really, those that once belonged to a woman whose only desire was to live with her loved ones before greed consumed her. And far away, I hear her voice.

Only she and her mesmerizing eyes remained, filling his universe with their profound allure. Her black eyes were not merely a color; they were an abyssal portal to a realm of wonder. Every blink was like a ripple on a dark lake, stirring his soul. He could feel himself slipping, falling deeper, losing his balance in the infinity of her gaze. It was a descent he welcomed, a journey into the unknown that held no fear.

I saw myself at the edge of nowhere beneath a very odd tree. White leaves were falling from it that gave me an eerie sensation. I was like inside a 90's television. Everything was in black and white. My gaze landed on the guy beside me. At that moment, I realized that I was not alone. Everything has no color except me and him. It felt weird especially when he touched my cheek softly and I felt the warmth of his hand. I was lying on the grass with him, captivated by his peculiar eyes. Those pair of eyes were green as emerald stones, fascinating and deep as if it can pierce through my soul. I can’t take my eyes off him.

I frowned at the sight, but that wasn’t what Drake was referring to. “Are their eyes fully black?” Elena asked, frowning at the sight and Drake nodded. It was like they literally had no eyeballs, and that fact alone was frightening. “Their eyes seemed to have been pulled out of their sockets, but that isn’t what I am worried about. The thing is, their eyes were all pulled out, no blood, and while here at the station.” Drake said, and I frowned. Ianos couldn’t have been here, right? I mean, it is impossible for him to actually risk that much, right?

“I'll rip your tongue out, son of a bitch.” Katie growled, but he only reacted by pressing his body even harder against her, which only fueled her need. Her own body was betraying her. “Who the hell are you?” he growled, his voice piercing her skin, giving her goosebumps. He was so close to her that she stared right into her silvery eyes, which were swirling with power; this wasn't normal, even for werewolves; eyes weren't meant to do that.
