We read so often of a time when dragons fought and ruled with their mates by their side, how the dragon found his mate… but nobody seems to wonder; where it all began, what if I told you; that there was a time when the great Archdragons had no mates. The world was young and feral, dragons flew wild and free, high above the fluffy white clouds, gliding gracefully. The world was magnificent, with green mountains and creatures of all kinds, magical and normal all living in harmony. The most powerful dragons known to exist were the Archdragons. Each Archdragon was blessed with the gift to control the element they were born with.

So, I suppose your play time is over,” he teased without changing his expression. “Go on, get out of here, you big galoot! Tell them we shall be there shortly. And do not tell them where you found us,” Cory warned. Geoffrey whipped the wrap from his waist, transforming into his emerald green dragon. He wrapped the scarf around his foot using the opposite claw and took off, spreading his magnificent wings out. “He is a very beautiful dragon,” Alicia commented, watching him fly away. Now she stood among dragons Draynor, Grenon, and others she did not recognize. Her dragon form loomed vast and luminous, scales threaded with Circle-light. The Dawlya magic did not rule here; it listened. The Circle bent itself around draconic instinct, reforging ancient bonds broken centuries ago. Balance. But the cost was clear. I said, careful with my words. "Who is real?" Eren asked. She was still confused. "The beast," I said. I made my voice sound happy and surprised. "My dragon. She is talking to me. In my head." Eren's mouth fell open. "The dragon? She is awake? You mean like your actual dragon is awake? After all this time?" I nodded. I forced a big smile. "Yes. Her name is Veylara. She says my anger woke her up."

Also, I would like to see how loyal my newest pet was. Adrienne lowered his head and eyes. "Forgive me." I pointed at the dagger my pet held before looking him in the eye. "Do not lose that. Only three of its kind have been forged and this is the last. Only that can harm the Fae dragon. Just a scratch is lethal enough to a regular Fae. One blow should do the trick. Can I trust you with this?" He tilted his head to and observed my face for a bit. "Yes. I will not misplace your trust."

Her eyes never left her husband who was leaning against his chair. “We've ruled this kingdom for nine hundred years before Vincent's father took over. And now, his son." Mr Gael started. He pushed to rest his face on his right hand with a long sigh. " I've never set my eyes on a dragon this huge Roseline. That dragon isn't a shifter. It's what we have been looking for for the past generations,” he concluded. Roseline dropped the teacup on the well polished jade tray and raised her head to meet his eyes. "What are you trying to suggest? Coincidence happen–”

Torin and Jericho looked at her, their eyes filled with trust - or perhaps trepidation.
