I returned to my office, made myself a cup of coffee, and waited. It didn't even take ten minutes before someone came knocking. The first to come in was, surprisingly, Layla. She clutched a USB drive so tightly her knuckles turned white. As soon as she stepped inside, she dropped to her knees. "I'm sorry, Ms. Cooper. I'm so, so sorry. I must've been out of my mind!" She cried, burying her face in one hand, while holding out the USB drive with the other. "Everything's in here—every chat log where Keira planned how to blow this up step by step and force you to give in!

“That’s what makes it interesting.” The shard hummed softly, and for a moment, an echo of Seraphine’s voice, faint, distorted, rippled through the room: What else do you want from me? The headmaster’s gaze darkened. “You do realize, Thornveil, that no one has ever broken a Frame before. They are designed to contain agony, not release it.” “I know.” “And yet this girl,” he continued, turning to face her fully, “this transfer student, managed to unravel one through sheer emotional output.”

Her hand paused in midair. Do it, Penny. But she couldn’t. Her hand slid back to her side. They had switched off the light in the room so except for the light from the TV, the room was pretty dark. And they could only see each others faces when the scenes on the TV changed. “I’m sorry,” she whispered into the dark. The sound of him moving his head toward her made the heat in her cheeks flare back to life. “What for?” Joey asked.

Every time, I would force an awkward smile. But the answer stayed stuck in my chest like a splinter, working its way deeper again and again. I stared at him until his guilt had nowhere left to hide. Finally, he gathered enough courage to tell the truth. "Vivian Blair gives me inspiration. That's all. Do you really want to keep asking?" The darkroom was very quiet. Quiet enough that only I could hear the sound of something inside me breaking. Julian's phone suddenly rang, shattering the silence.

“I’ll prevent all possible future problems.” On the other side, Zachary asked Frank for the footage from the escape room. Frank tossed a tablet to him, leaned back in his chair with his eyes closed, and began resting. Zachary opened it but didn’t hear any sound, so he pressed the volume button a few times. To his surprise, a ghost NPC suddenly appeared on the screen, screaming several times. Frank didn’t open his eyes but spoke in a cold voice, “You’re really having issues with your ears.”

My body was horribly scarred, my resolve was being slowly chipped away, every single day, and now my teeth had even suffered, they we're supposed to be the strongest part of your body, and mine was taken out by a mere punch to the face. Without thinking I used my strength to push the large picture frame up and widened my eyes as it had actually moved. I wasn't exactly planning on that working. The entire portrait quickly lost its grip on the nail connecting it to the wall and so it went tumbling to the ground with a deafening crash. The frame quickly cracked and splintered off onto the floor around it and I stepped back in absolute and utter horror at what I'd done.

Inside the barrier, amidst the turbulent roar of the enormous demon, a loud boom sounded. Two figures were pushed back by the tremendous force. The two balls of hurricane clashed and caused everything to be swept away. Sir Felix struggled to stand up. His body received a huge impact from the explosion, but his umbrella was still fine. On the other hand, Mr. Frank, had his arm broken. But as someone who had attached limbs, he could quickly reattach them later. Mr. Frank stood up and laughed, "That's a great showdown! I wonder if you can last a round or two."
