Aria's Point of View I run my fingers gently over the delicate fairy lights strung along the low branches above the picnic blanket. The tiny bulbs feel warm beneath my touch, glowing like fireflies caught in a dream. The whole setup is soft, warm, thoughtful and completely unexpected. When Griffen said he was planning a surprise for me, I didn’t imagine this.

Nora had done her thing! The balloons were mostly cream and blush, floating gently over the fireplace in a soft arc. The theme of the prom was fairytale , so it made completely sense when the lights dimmed and the entire ballroom shimmered and glowed with mystical blue light that seemed to coming from the fountain in the middle of the hall . Tables were set up around the room with white and gold linens, a handful of fake plastic tinker bell and her friends were placed on the center of each table. Here and there , I could see Snow white , Rapunzel and various other princess whose fairy tales I have listened growing up and honestly I felt like one right now . A lot of girls were wearing shorter dresses, but this was within my expectations.

The office lights themselves had been dimmed to maximize the effect of the fairy lights. The only hearts in sight were also made out of lights and were placed strategically all around the room. There was no other way to describe the enchanting, magical ambience created in the ballroom with soft, warm lighting that complemented the chandeliers described. Fairy lights are draped across the ceiling and around the tables, adding a sparkling effect. She hadn’t known what to expect and despite her mother always taking everything over the top, she never could have imagined how incredible the scene would look. As if she had walked straight into a fairytale, lights surrounded the area reflecting more colours than Belle could count along the paved walkway and the surrounding trees. With every step, there was a new coloured reflection beneath her like little orbs of light. Pinks, blues, purples, greens, all reflecting from the intricate flowers that laid bedded around her. Twinkle lights hung from tree branches as candles lined her path in glass holders on the floor. It felt as though she was walking amongst the stars.
