It does nothing to protect me from the shivers running over my skin as Elijah studies me. I clear my throat. "So...?" Elijah smiles. I'm struggling to act calm and not go down in flames. Elijah is so intense. I brush my hair behind my ear. "I'm a fairy."

Then, a powerful voice rang out across the battlefield: “Guys—don’t be shy. Grab yourselves a snack.” Harpies shrieked in horror as hundreds of vampires appeared from nowhere on the batterfiled. Unlike wolves, they could fly—fast, merciless, and hungry. Vampires pounced on harpies, piercing their skin with fangs to drink them dry. Piercing screams of harpies filled the air, and they rushed to leave the fight, trying to escape the death.

The crescent moon looked up from the sky as if it were a silent witness to the fate of the Moon Pack and the Blood Pack hanging in the balance. I silently concentrated on gathering my healing fairy power. Thousands of tiny transparent fairies flew around me. They showered my wing wounds with white crystal powder. Slowly, my vampire power rose, fueled by the power of nature. Gabriel didn't know, because those thousands of tiny fairies were only visible to the eyes of a half-breed. I focused my attention on the two Alpha wolves, who seemed to be dueling tirelessly. Their wolf's legs moved in a mesmerizing, deadly dance. Their clashing sharp teeth and scarred bodies showed how fierce the battle

Then, her learning kicked in. It was rumored that the gentry was ruled by Vampyre, a supernatural creature that lived longer than a human and they have this insane thirst for blood. They were affected by the disease Porphyria and they were struck by it when they were in their adolescence. When they survived the high fever and vomit, they were never truly the same person again. It’s like they have changed their skins and become a new person. They do not go, wandering around in sunlight, and most of them have a pale complexion and beautiful faces that would make faeries run from them in fear for they were beautifully and handsomely crafted like Greek Goddess gods.
