I mumbled, stripping off my hoodie. She arched a brow. “Lies. You were at the game, weren’t you?” I groaned, flopping onto my bed. “Please don’t start.” “I’m not starting,” she said, setting her phone down. “I’m just observing that you’ve been avoiding Luca like the plague, and yet you magically appeared at his game.” I buried my face in my pillow. “This is hell. I’m in hell.” Lila laughed. “Look, I’m just saying… If you really wanted to stay away, you wouldn’t have gone. And you definitely wouldn’t have stood there staring at him like he was a goddamn Greek tragedy in motion.”

Everyone could sense that the end was near, now they could only wait and see who would fall victim and receive the punishment.
