Falling Sakura Book Nook Novels & Stories

She had been sitting in The Tasty Place dinner, tucked in a corner with her head in a book- a novel I had suspected. One of those typical, Pride and Prejudice novels, or whatever the name was that women loved. It didn’t turn me on or off. She had glanced up from her book, not at me but past me. And it had felt like she saw right through me; it blew me away. Her eyes were like emerald green shimmering in the light, the type of eyes you didn’t see an Asian woman with very often. Contacts, I had thought, but that’s the first thing she clarified when I asserted myself and tried to speak to her.

“Yes, is it a…sorry, I don’t know much about it. And if you don’t want to explain, tell me I’m asking too much.“ “Don’t worry, it’s fine. Yeah. It's a sakura tree, the Japanese cherry blossom. “ “Oh, yes, Now I see better“ I look closer and realize I’ve leaned forward. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to…” “No , you can come and see it better. “ I put my glass on the tiles and approach carefully. I sit on the rim of the bathtub and he sits straighter. The water drops trickle down his muscles, and my eyes follow them, then move to the ink.

“Thanks.” He closed the book and got up. A dried flower fell down from the book. Shardul missed it and walked ahead. Sanvika picked it up. It was a Pinkish-purple Flower pressed between two pages. Thin as paper. “Excuse me…” she called. Shardul turned back. “This fell down.” She held the flower up. “Oh… Thanks…” He went to take it back. He took it back very carefully. “Really thanks. It’s kind of important to me.”

I grabbed some sweats from the closet then headed to the bathroom to take a shower and remove all the makeup. When I got out of the bathroom, Nick was sat at the desk with Fallen in his hands. "This is a good book," he said as he looked up from the page. "It is. You should definitely watch the movie too, they really did the book justice," I answered with a smile. He beamed and gave me a boyish grin. "For you, I'll watch anything." I rolled my eyes with a small smile. "Are you coming downstairs with me?" I asked instead

My eyes downcast, I turn my head to the side, looking away. Away from him. Away from the decision he wants me to make, but which I just can't. Not now, anyway. I can feel myself shaking. After a few seconds I hear Alastaire footsteps as he leaves the room. I take a moment to recover, slumping down to the floor. My leg hits against something. It’s the book that fell off the bookshelf a moment ago. I pick it up, noticing its beautiful emerald green color for the first time. It’s old – that much is obvious from the tattered spine with its ornate golden oak leaf pattern – but somehow the cloth cover has kept its vivid hue.

This body’s got a mind of its own. “Uh, just... reading,” I stammer, grabbing a random book to hide my panic. My fingers fumble, and it falls open to a page about magical bindings. Fitting, since I feel bound to this plot. Ardyn’s smirk grows, and he leans against the table, close enough that I catch his scent, sandalwood and sin. My heart’s doing cartwheels, and I’m torn between squealing like the fangirl I am and bolting.

Kael didn’t mind not having a clan. His steps hesitated briefly in front of the room before he finally made up his mind and entered Eira’s messy room. A strange scent pierced Kael’s senses. It was like the pungent smell of blood mixed with a faint fragrance. “Why does her room smell like this?” he muttered as he walked toward the bed. He found a copy of *The End of Hanahaki* lying on top of the mattress—stained with blood. Kael opened the book and began reading. He noticed several sentences that had been underlined, as if they were important points. Then, on one page, three whole, dried cherry blossoms fell out of the book.

Ignoring my exhausted body, I quickly grabbed my suitcase and headed out. After all, the base shuttle was the only transportation out of this place. Luckily, I caught the final bus of the day. After boarding, I casually pulled out my work card and tapped it against the scanner. The machine immediately flashed an alert. 'Invalid card. Please scan again.' My heart skipped. I hurriedly tried a second time. Still invalid. The driver shot me an impatient look. "Are you leaving or not? If your card doesn't work, get off already. Stop holding everyone else up."

In this world of swords and magic, it's not a surprise that there are advanced technology involved as well, even if they're empowered by magic. "Sir?" I glanced at him. "May I ask why you are asking this question?" I smiled slightly. I was actually searching the sakura tree, the one that usually grows in Japan. The night after my meeting with Cecilia and Izana, I noticed the sakura tree wasn't planted among the varieties of flowers. Even so, the author is an authentic Japanese so I believe I can find a sakura tree somewhere or maybe remember anything stating about sakura in the novel. Sadly, my memory is slightly jumbled after having a high fever, so I have been struggling to remember the ev
