Sophia stared at her coffee, trying to process that in twenty minutes, she would know for sure if these men who had shown her more love in one night than she’d felt in years were really her family.
"Whatever it says," Ethan said quietly, reaching across to squeeze her hand, "nothing changes. You're our sister. You're home. You're staying."
“But what if—” Sophia began
"No what-ifs,” Damian interrupted gently. "We know what we feel. We know you belong here. A piece of paper doesn't change that."
