Elias stiffened. “I’m not jealous.”
“You are,” Jace said, almost smiling now desperate to relieve the heaviness between them. “You’re jealous of Aiden.”
Elias’s eyes narrowed, his entire body coiled with tension. “I’m not jealous,” he repeated firmly, “I’m concerned. There’s a difference.”
Jace tilted his head, studying him. “Concerned for me, or concerned that someone else might get close to me?”
