I so wanted to punch that arrogant, beautiful face, give him a middle finger, and tell him to go to hell. But of course, that would be a death sentence, and it would be nothing like Eve's. I swallowed and tightened my legs to keep it from trembling because I was beginning to feel that mixture of fear and traitorous desire. I was an Omega, and he was the King; every fiber of my biology was screaming at me to submit, even as my mind cursed his name.

She looked at Marcelo and then back at me. “I said get your bags inside, Frey. I’m not asking you again,” I snapped as I heard a growl behind me. “What is it?” I turned to him, and his eyes were flickering between different colors. “How dare you defy my orders?” He growled, using his alpha tone as I chuckled softly, shaking my head. “I’m your wife. I will not be ordered around by you. You can order your mistress and your people, but you have no authority over me or Frey. Is that clear enough?” I asked him as he growled, coming closer to me.
