Chrissy and Chassy just looked at each other. “Well,” Chassy started, “a vampire came to our Ma’s wake?” “He’s a friend of Nate’s. What was his name?” Chrissy asked. “Rafe Sanguinario,” I sighed.

He says, then hangs up. Motherfucker. I walk out the door, then the gate, open it to see him sitting behind his wheels. He drives in, and I lock the gate with a code only we know. "What do you want?" "Good to see you too, Asshole." He says, walking inside, loudly. Rose is still asleep. "Be quiet, you stupid basta -- " I freeze when I see her, standing in my Shirt, staring at us. "Hi." Caspain smiles, and she offers him her hand which he kisses.

When Rosalie was sleeping, I had dressed her neck with garlic, knowing that the neck was a vampire's favourite spot for a draw of blood, and had covered up the strong scent of the garlic with flowery scents. So, when he wanted to bite, I let him, and he tasted the garlic, burning himself sweet. He vanished into the thin air with his cries lingering, and I pulled Rosalie to myself gently, pulling her to sit on my lap. "Are you okay?" I questioned her. She nodded slowly, and I knew she was holding herself from shivering. I hugged her, covering her up with my arms. The phoenix king and the rest jolted to their feet, "What did you do to him?"

That's when I realized that in front of Aris was a glass sealed with what was surely blood. “What is this, dear Rose?” the vampire asked as the old woman approached. “Squirrel blood,” Rose said, and I put my hand over my mouth to keep from laughing. “What was left of the last blood you brought I gave it to the other vampire. He helped me fix the furnace problem you didn't solve, so I was nice.” Aris looked at her in horror, and as I started to laugh, a vision shook me. I looked at the darkness and flames everywhere, then I looked at us near a cliff and watched as I threw myself into the abyss.

He looked at Paul, and there was a hint of worry in Ran's eyes. "I'm not sure that I can do this. I want to …" He looked at me apologetically. "I want to eat her." Paul rolled his eyes. "Stand in line." I scowled at him. "No really," Ran said anxiously. "I feel the vampire in her, and I want to damage it." Paul placed his hand on Ran's shoulder. "Stand down," he growled.

The very first time I laid my eyes on him, I never thought I would end up loving someone like him. But everything changed when I met Alec. The chief of vampire council and my mate. Their bodies collided, and Esteban lifted her effortlessly, backing her against the wall. Clothes burned away as quickly as the flames devouring the mansion. Her apron hit the floor.
