Fantasy Books Without Romance Novels & Stories

Most titles of the books here are stating someone without actually telling their names: The Rogue Alpha, The Despicable Luna, The Rejected Beta... My Silver Wolf!? But what happened? This book is a serial book of supernatural mystery stories so If you like to read monster stories or monster hunter stories, with a touch of mystery and romance you are reading the right book. You don't need to read all of them to understand a single story, I do recommend reading them all since characters will have ongoing arcs. But you can skip a story if it's not that exciting to you and don't mind losing some character development. The book has a stable cast of characters and some others will be recurring.

I fold my legs beneath me, and bring out my phone. A book can keep my awake so I surf the internet. Quickly I see a lot of fantasy books, but I’ve never really gravitated towards those. I don’t know what pushes me though. Maybe I’m just tired of being oblivious or my mother’s thesis, or the strange recurrences, I click on the first book I see and buy it. It takes only a second. I scroll past the forward and settle on the first chapter.

We never had the chance to sit down and converse with each other, so I was surprised when she began reading a spicy fantasy romance novel while sitting beside my bed. It seemed ages ago when I stopped reading fantasy romances and began living in one of them, so I am not sure if I would ever enjoy reading them again. I haven’t had time to read anything except for my mother’s journals and the medicine books from the coven, so it was a pleasant change to hear something different. It was as if we were gossiping about someone else’s life. In the books, we didn’t have to worry about real-world problems; any conflict or issue was not ours to resolve. The pages gave us something to be excited about.

For the longest time, I wondered why I was only writing fantasy; why not romance too? Dad walked over beside me and nodded towards the book, “Are you thinking about buying it?” He asked; I shrugged,

I didn’t even have a wolf. The next book, The History of Gifts, looked promising. I sat down on the floor and opened it carefully, trying not to get my hopes too high. There were chapters about mind links, healing powers, even wolves that could talk to animals… but not a single word about silver fire. Or glowing fingers. Or dreams about strange women with snow-white hair. I let out a long breath, the kind that made your shoulders sag. I felt tired. Like the answers I wanted were still too far away.
