My jaw clenched when I felt it freeze suddenly, hovering just out of reach of the man's skin. My gaze roved over him, searching for the source of his protection. It didn't take me long to find it. Around his neck hung a barrier pendant—a magical object that provided the wearer with a form of protection against magic. The only way to bypass them was through physical touch. "A princess wouldn't be galavanting around with worthless murderers like you hanging about," I taunted, waiting for an opportunity to grab his skin. My vision was starting to dim at the edges; I needed energy, and soon.

The vast city of Greiner is nestled in a lush valley, surrounded by rolling hills and dense forests. Who wants to go first?” The room got quiet for a moment, just the pop of the logs in the fire filling the air. My heart started picking up speed, that tingly warmth turning into a buzz that ran through my whole body, making my skin feel electric. What the hell was in this drink? It was making my thoughts race, my body reacting in ways I couldn’t control. I pressed my thighs together without thinking, feeling a heat start

For them, CMP felt less like a market and more like a small festival that never ended. Teenagers liked it even more. They came to hang out, to sit and read the latest novels and to lose themselves in stories that were no longer the same tired tales of noble heroes going to war while weak and sorrowful women waited endlessly at home. These stories were different. The worlds were wider, the characters stranger and braver in new ways, and the imagination behind them left teenagers starstruck. There were stories for children, for youth, for adults. All these stories that made people feel seen.

START As an innocent child, I also wanted to live a normal life in a world where I just wanted to have friends and be given a chance to play with my dolls with other children. At the age of twelve, there was nothing to do with each stroke of my dolls. Seemingly mad talking plastic children's toys.

Which resulted in me always reading books and I was okay with that. When I was reading my books I would visualize the world that was described on the many pages in my hands. Dragons, castles, dystopian worlds, and so much more. The characters became my friends, enemies, and sometimes lovers. I imagined me living in the stories as an escape from my horrible reality. I would do it now, but I didn't think David will give me books I like. "I know there are a lot of options. How about the Lion King?" David asked.

He had sacrificed himself for her and she wasn't going to let the others die so she pulled herself together and raced even faster before it got to her. Her eyes brightened up in hope as she sighted the fire they had made for the night. It felt weird as she got closer, it was awfully quiet and soon she got to know why. Her lips were muted as she beheld the terrible sight before her, she had given up in body and soul, they were all dead, the creature had gotten to them before her and at this point there was no point in running, it was clear that it was teasing and could get to her no matter how far she was from him.
