I marched straight to the bar, pulled out the gold card Damian had given me, and slammed it onto the sticky counter. "Drinks for everyone in here," I told the bartender, my voice loud and wild over the roaring music. "Put it all on this. Keep them coming." The announcement sparked a sudden, chaotic cheer through the crowded room. Strangers swarmed the bar, raising glasses to me, shouting words I couldn't hear over the bass. I didn't care. I grabbed a shot glass, swallowed the burning liquid, and followed it with another. And another. The alcohol hit my empty stomach like fire, blurring the sharp edges of my reality until the memory of the makeup stain and the stolen cologne felt miles away.

My message flashed on the screen: "Hey, you want a challenge? Let's fight." The response came quickly: "Sure." I smiled, anticipation building within me. Bring it on. The fight was intense, lasting a grueling fifty-two minutes. I was at the peak of my game, my fingers flying across the controller as I dodged and weaved through the virtual battlefield. My opponent was tough, but I was determined to emerge victorious. Just as I was about to deliver the final blow, my opponent suddenly unleashed a devastating attack, blowing me up with a last-ditch effort. I stared at the screen, my eyes wide with shock and disappointment.

Dad said, that was the last thing he said before the call went dead. "Bastard!" I cursed, sighing as I dropped my phone on my bed. How could he be so proud of this? Our problem won't be only the feds alone once we fucked with the Bratva clan. "Let's see what we have here." I groaned, tearing the package open only to reveal the thermobaric grenade and the rest of the stuff I had ordered for the moment I got to Russia. The package came earlier than expected. "These should be enough." I sighed, pushed the package to one side and took off my jacket, followed by my shirt.

I smiled opening the door and jumping inside his car, I glimpsed a familiar face staring at me, his eyes narrowed while I jumped inside the car ignoring he even exists. I suck at this which made the whole crew laughing, with mom along with them. I was trying to cut an union properly since Fabian asked me to, "hey, don't laugh you don't have to be embarrassed about it , I’ve been there, when I was five" he continued joking making everyone else laugh along, I giggled a bit, "very funny" I said putting the knife on the cutting board, I noticed Anthony who just arrived, our eyes met for a moment, however I decided to go and wash the dishes.

It was a call from Riley. Sebastian excused himself from the crowd and found a secluded corner. "Mr. Clarke," Riley's voice stammered on the other end. "The craniofacial reconstruction image… it's ready. I've sent it to you. You should… check your phone. From my observation… the person in the image… looks a lot like… Naomi Clarke."

"Jeremy, go and turn yourself in. As long as you do that, the police won't punish you too harshly." When Jeremy heard her words, he froze. Then, he let go of her and said, "If I turn myself in, my life will be over. Charlie is your daughter. Everything will be over as long as you sign the waiver." He stared at her intently. "Only that can save me." "But…" My mother hesitated. "There are no buts!" Jeremy snapped. "Are you even my mother? Can't you even do this one small thing for me?" Then, he began pacing around the room like a provoked beast.

But sense had nothing to do with the way my heart still raced thinking about those five seconds in Dominic’s arms. Then I saw it. A text from an unknown number, time stamped at 2:47am. We need to talk. Not here. Not now. But soon. No signature, he knew I didn’t but I didn’t need one. I stared at the message until the screen went dark, my finger hovering over the keyboard. Part of me wanted to type back something reckless: Your place or mine? When? Why not now? But the rational part,the part that sounded alarmingly like my father,told me to delete it and go back to pretending.

I can see Katya is feeling a lot better now. "Bring us to him so we can arrest him." Amelia said. All of us nodded, then all of us guided Amelia towards where they tied the mf. Then we're on the backyard patio and the mf is awake and battling his restraints. Then he saw us, and I can see fear creeping into his eyes, but he fights his fear and started screaming. Then I can feel my anger rising and my blood boiling remembering what he did to Hestia. I clench my fist as we approach him.

Frederick said as he took Jennifer’s hand and began to walk away. "Mr. Lester, watch out!" Levi suddenly shouted. Frederick looked up, and saw a shadowy figure darting toward them like a ghost. Amid the blur, he caught a glimpse of a "V" symbol. "You’ve got some nerve to step into Mirage!" Frederick’s face darkened. In an instant, he intercepted the figure. "Remember, the one who kills you is Five!" The attacker revealed himself as Five from Organization V. Five struck out at Frederick with a powerful blow. Frederick met his attack with equal force. The impact of their clash sent a cloud rising into the sky, as if a nuclear explosion had occurred.

My breath hitched, and I stumbled back. Kaiden was beside me in a heartbeat. “What is it?” I gave him the phone, and he growled out a curse. Gunner joined us a second later. “It's Josie,” I gritted out. “Those fuckers sent me a picture of her... tied up to a chair and beaten.” Gunner dragged his hand over his face. “We're talking about ransom, right? What are their demands?” Kaiden read the message under the picture. “They want five billion dollars, and they give us three hours,” he hissed.
