MY FIRST LOVE

MY FIRST LOVE

**Homecoming** The familiar scent of home—the faint aroma of Claire’s lavender candles, the comforting smell of old wood, and the lingering hint of last night’s rain—filled the air as the Hayes family finally stepped through their front door. Despite the exhaustion from the relentless chase and the constant threat looming over them, the warmth of their home brought a fleeting sense of safety. For the first time in what felt like ages, they were back where they belonged. But the sanctuary of their home was tempered by the reality of the battles still ahead.

The Exiled Dragon

The Exiled Dragon

The day he passes away, my estranged mother comes back and takes me away, giving me nothing but grief. The aches in my arms remind me of him every day. Dad's fantasy stories of faraway places, wars of species of a different kind, kingdoms fighting for the right to live. Now I was living in one of those stories, except this time, I was just the blood slave with no hope of going back to the place I called home. Home wasn't there anymore. Home was with family, and I obviously didn't have one anymore.

I love Veronica’s all books but Creed is so, so special! I also love that there is no unnecessary cheating, tragedy, horror but is exciting, detailed, vibrant and show a lot of kindness and love between the characters. The villains always got what they deserve and the love always win!

Fated Mates Torn By Hate (Werewolf Short Stories)

Fated Mates Torn By Hate (Werewolf Short Stories)

“I am upset. I’m not okay.” “Tell me how you became upset.” I gripped my phone tighter even with my shaking. “Running away is something I realized I’m not good at. I want to come back home, Jacob.” Not really a lie, but not the whole truth. “Come home.” It was more of a plea than a suggestion. “Come home, Farrah.” Home? So does that mean...the Dark Moon Pack survived the Black Sun Pack’s attack? Does that mean my home survived the flames?

So Far Away

So Far Away

Unlike before, where the fields filled with grain, now I can see tall buildings and cars honking here and there. I merge into the traffic as I entered the highway that leads to the ancestral house of my clan. Yes, my forefathers lived in this land, making this place my hometown too. But I wouldn't say I like this place, even for a bit. All I can think of are bad memories. I can't even remember that last time I had a good one. "Seviwood is different than the rest of the province in the region," Marco stated in awe. I nod, agreeing to his statement.

Poor Heir Millionaire

Poor Heir Millionaire

"Well, it's only been a day since my family threw me out." "They must be looking for you, and they'll probably find you soon." "I don't think so. They live far from here." "Where are you from?" "I was born kilometers away from this country, so much so that it would surprise you." "So, you come to a decrepit town to pour out your sorrows to a stranger over a disagreement with your family?" "A bit, it's nice," he admitted, clumsily taking the new concoction of drinks I offered. "Since we'll never see each other again."

Maddox, The Broken Alpha

Maddox, The Broken Alpha

" I said as I cried harder. I wanted far away from this place, away from the pain. I wanted to be back home in my sanctuary. A place where I know no one can hurt me. No one can enter but my dad unless I allow them. I felt as my dad prepared the jump, his arms tightening around me before the wind quickly shifts. I smelled home before I opened my eyes. I took a deep breath in, letting the smell of home flood my senses. I felt it instantly ease some of my pain. Home smells so good. It smells like flowers and fruit. My home, it's a beautiful place. I have so many different flowers growing outside. I cut the prettiest ones I can find almost daily and bring them inside the house. There's not a roo

This is the third book in the series and I swear each book just gets better and better! Can’t wait to see how everything unfolds! The Author is also very consistent about her updates (usually multiple chapters daily) which is super amazing and shows her dedication to her work and readers <3

Daddy's Capo

Daddy's Capo

The problem with going home was that home was where she had just flown from. Home was thousands of miles away. Home was university and her friends there, who had become like family. Not this hell-hole she had escaped from at 14. "I'm not allowed to go home, Mr Calcolo, I have been ordered here" she stated softly, her fingertips gently brushing the leather interior of his car door. With a sigh, she pushed the sunglasses back down onto her face. "Fine, let's go see mama" she instructed with a wave of her hand "May as well get it over with, go see Tommy perhaps"

My Sister’s Instagram

My Sister’s Instagram

The project was located in a sparsely populated area of Northern Civitas, with a duration of at least two years. That suited me perfectly. Distance was exactly what I needed most at that moment. The company was rather surprised by my decision. Some speculated that I was motivated by the generous overseas allowance and the promotion that would follow upon my return. Only I knew the truth. I was fleeing a place called “home,” a place that had never given me the warmth it should have. My phone kept getting calls. My mother’s initial calls came charged with anger. “Lina, are you done with this little tantrum? Get home and apologize to your sister. Now.

Frequently Asked Questions

I stumbled upon 'A Far-Off Place' during a phase where I craved survival stories with emotional depth. The novel follows two teenagers, Nonnie and Harry, who survive a massacre in the African wilderness and embark on an impossible journey across the Kalahari Desert. What hooked me wasn’t just the adventure—it was how their friendship evolves under relentless pressure. The desert itself feels like a character, vast and indifferent, testing their limits.

I loved how the author, Laurens van der Post, wove themes of resilience and cultural clashes into the narrative. Nonnie’s growth from a sheltered city girl to someone who understands the land’s harsh wisdom stuck with me long after I finished the book. It’s one of those stories that makes you ache for the characters but also leaves you marveling at human tenacity.
