He reached into the nearest ending-chain around his ankle and pulled out the scene within it. He did not reject it. He witnessed it. A timeline where he died saving Katherine from the first assassination. Katherine survived, yes. But she never built the Valkyries. Marcus never awakened. Haley never became chaos. The baby never existed. Earth lasted nineteen more years and then went silent under a smaller formatting event no one had learned to resist.

Clotho POV It's been weeks since Tate and Channing had made their decision about Emiko. They had already found a way to get her to be human so she could be killed. We knew this, and were trying to figure out how two souls broke free of their string of destiny. This was something unheard of in our times as Fate. We were going through the books of the original Fate. I closed the last book I was reading and growled. "Oh my fucking gods." Atropos cursed with joy.

“I needed to warn you.” “About what?” I question. Now I have an overwhelming feeling that this is about T. T is Fate’s brother, and after Time taking over his body and completely controlling him, this must be what this is about. However, I don’t see where I come in. “Fate, what are you talking about?” “Time is leaving T’s boyd tonight forever,” he tells me. “However, not in such a pleasant way.” “What do you mean?” Fate looks grim. “The way he is going to do it includes exacting revenge. And he’s doing it tonight.”

"No... It is my fault... I did not manage to save her... I promise I did, but I must forge my death again..." She smiled and placed her hand on my head. "This is Dominixe's karma, Valerian. I might not be the one to punish her, but fate already intervened." She stood up, and Alpha King Claudian quickly tended to her. "Moreover, this is also our Mother's fault from their original timeline for disagreeing with Dameta's request to be with your other self. Her desperation to change your fate had caused the disturbance in our timeline. Dominixe herself should be enough not to ruin the laws of nature, but someone that came from another dimension also intervened, which things had gone complicated..

"Now all your abilities will operate without delay, Greg. Use them wisely and bring back the balance before it's too late. I will see you again once Gwendolyn and Nimue's daughters are mature in six months' time." This told Greg that the vision he'd had of the future was correct: the current aspects of Fate would be wives six and seven. Even if they weren't manifesting themselves as the goddesses of Joy and Sorrow yet, his family was complete. Greg blinked and realized it was just their family left.

He should have known that their fates could not be changed. "The threads of fate are complex and intertwined," the Earth Spirit's voice whispered, its tone soft and reassuring. "The path that was laid out for Ral has already been set in motion. It is not for us to alter the course of events. The Elf King's destiny is entwined with the fate of the world, and his absence now would have far-reaching consequences. His growth and strength are crucial to the battles that will unfold centuries from now. We cannot risk altering the timeline by intervening in his fate. You have to let this go.”

Afraid she might never have a chance at independence. Silence enveloped them both. Even the constant click sound from Jason's laptop wasn't heard, he was listening and Stan hated the fact, so he drew closer to whisper to Sophia and probably infuriate Jason. "You might. It's fifty-fifty now, but I promise you we will try hard You and me. Okay?." She nodded in affirmation but with less enthusiasm, Stan was sure he heard someone scoff from afar. That night Sophia lay on her bed and thought about her life and everything that had happened and even where it was headed. She wasn't sure yet where fate was leading her. But she wasn't in a rush.
