Fate is what takes you down that road you ever so often avoid taking. Take, for instance meeting Raven Sloane. At the time, I had no idea that it was where I was supposed to be, with whom I am meant to be, doing what I should be doing...falling in love.

She blindly took one book and sat down. She was the only one at the restricted library, so she wasn’t disturbed all day long. The first book she read was all about mating. “Fated mate…” Mallory unconsciously said, then touched the word on the paper. She read, “Fated mates are pairs that are arranged by the Goddess herself. They are commonly known to live together until one of them dies. If one died, the other would fall into a deep depression that sometimes would resort to killing themselves. Some said that fated mates have their abilities enhanced after mating, gaining more power from one another.”

He just couldn't. 13 years. 13 long years without a relationship of any kind. He never dated or did anything that came close to dating. He wanted to keep all his first times for that boy. It sounded insane but he didn't care. That boy was the reason he's still alive today. He gave him the zeal to move on in life. Mr. Lee and Kai left after a few words and Seiji walked towards him. "I'm going to untie you but first promise me that you won't run"

We were doomed from the first time we set eyes on each other, but I couldn’t stop myself from wanting to love you. The easy path to love was given to me multiple times and there was time after time I was tempted, and it almost succeeded removing you from my heart but like an old womb the ache to be with you burned within me. I said and she nodded gently. "Why was your father worried about a fated-mate?" She finally asked. Honestly, I had expected her to ask this question since my father brought it up. The fact that she restrained herself made me worried a bit. I knew I needed to put her mind at ease. " A fated-mate is like your soulmate, a wolf's other half. It is regarded as a magical love gift from the moon goddess. You can reject the mate or accept, it is all up to you. I learned there is a strong magical pull between the two fated couples, accompanied with peace and calmness." I said and she cut in.

Gabriel leans backward with his hand over the back of the sofa and one leg on top of the other, resting above his knee. “Think of it this way; a Fated is someone the Goddess chose for you and there are no exceptions. You can make it work or choose to break that Bond.” He takes a sip of his bourbon. “But falling in love of your own free will, choosing someone you never planned to love… don’t you think that, in a way, is more beautiful than a predestined Bond?” His words stun me to my core and it opens up a possibility I never could have imagined; me, falling in love with someone? Falling in love, not because of a Bond but because I feel like they’re my home.

I snapped. He opened the book anyway, flipping to a marked page. “The Fated Pair,” he read aloud, his voice rich with conviction. “When the fated pair unite, they will experience a love like no other. This union, created and blessed by the Moon Goddess herself, grants the couple incredible power and seals their destiny to bring about change.” I stared at him, breath short. “Uncle…” “It’s the only explanation,” he said firmly. “You and the girl, Lila. You’re the fated pair. The shared dreams, the bond that won’t break, the pull you feel toward her it’s not ordinary.”

“Are they still connected to their fated when they are marked by a chosen?” Her mouth pursed in a thin line. “Yes and no. They get cut off from their fated. It would be cruel to force their fated to never find love just because they chose another. So the string looks…unraveled. It’s never immediate either. If they were to find their fated during the first months or even the first year, the fated bond would still be strong enough to override the chosen. But after that, it unravels. Frayed at the edges.
