I stared at Fennrick in silence. Seriously… how full of himself was he? However, I couldn’t deny my racing heartbeat. At this point I was convinced Fennrick had hit me with some kind of fae glamour spell. Because I was, unfortunately, just a little obsessed with him. I follow a ridiculous number of hot guy influencers, but none of them—and I mean none of them—looked like this fox fae. Fennrick’s physique walked that razor‑thin line between sensual and elegant. It was a feast for my eyes.

Ni Faesta waved her hand on the water surface and the scene changed. It was from the different towns of Llfhame. The other mystical creatures were still continuing resistance against the evil milieus. In the oceans, the sirens continuously defend the merefolks. Lucas teased, grinning at Raphael. "This is Scuttlebutt, my loyal familiar," I said, beaming with pride as I scratched behind Scuttle's ears. "And that's Jinks, Lucas's faithful familiar." Raphael's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Familiars, you say? I'm not familiar with the concept." I chuckled at the pun, launching into an explanation. "Familiars are supernatural beings with the ability to shapeshift. They're powerful, and magical, and serve as our protectors and guides. They amplify our abilities and assist us in mastering our craft." Raphael's eyes widened, intrigued. "Fascinating! I think I might need a familiar of my own. Where do I sign up?"

The little red-hair man must be a leprechaun, the twig looking girl must be a dryad, there are the sprites, of course, notable for their glowing skin making them look like large fire flies and then there are some fairies floating around too. At least I hope they are fairies, the good kind, not faeries the bad kind. Apparently, the only way to distinguish between them is how they spell fairy. It wouldn't hurt to briefly look around. All I had to guide me were the rumors and myths about the Fae and their realm. The problem with myths, is that you never know what might be real. Myth says the Fae can't lie, but no one has ever been able to prove that. Out of all the legends I knew, there was one fact. Monsters came from this realm, some harboring magic while others had claws, fangs, or poison. All were deadly, and all caused death when they managed to find a portal and cross over. Remembering all of the myths I knew, I suddenly felt very exposed. My eyes darted around the clearing, looking as far into the forest as I could.
