The title read ‘The Black Wolf. “When did you get this?” I asked, raising a brow. He smirked. “Comfort Shettima is my favorite author. Once she releases a new fantasy story, I get it immediately.” I burst out laughing. “Wow, a loyal fanboy. I’m impressed.” “Loyal and proud,” he said, folding his arms with mock seriousness. We settled back on the couch with a soft blanket, a few snacks, and the faint scent of coffee lingering in the air. I tucked my legs beneath me and flipped the first page open.

I asked all three of them. I could see Cain smiling down at me with pride. “Well, novels would be great. That’s a good starting point for any beginner,” the first man said. “I agree, and you could make picks from romance, mystery and thrillers, and even historical fiction,” the second man responded. “We have a list of the top bestselling authors. You will be glued to every book you select,” the third one said. I became relaxed almost immediately, but then again, Cain’s phone beeped.

I think for a moment, “I don’t think I have one. There is a small café that Kendra and I frequent because it is conveniently located near her workplace. I don’t eat out much.” “You read a lot. What is your favorite book?” Max asked. I shrug, “It depends on my mood. We didn’t have television growing up, so I read a lot. I don’t think I have a favorite book. But my favorite genre is historical romance.” “Oh, you like things about knights and kings?” Max inquires. I feel slightly embarrassed, “No, some of my favorites are about someone who goes back in time, and they have to adjust. Most go with a poor farm boy.”

The rest of the day seems boring so, I decided to read a book. "Let's see what I got here? I started looking for a storybook that will get my attention. Nope. Not this one. Yes finally found you " Sherlock Holmes. My favorite detective of all time. This book always inspired me to write a mystery novel. I tried many times, but nothing came to my mind. So I decided to give a break and concentrate on other things. I was a very very big fan of mystery and detective novels than romance and action. "If I started reading now, then I can finish this entire book by evening. The stories looked really interesting." I thought while flipping the pages.

He really did not like the book. "You didn't like it," I stated. "It's not terrible, honestly, it's a nice story and movable for the readers. "It's beautiful, and I don't know how a man can have such an imagination," Zach smiled. "I don't want to go into the story, but it's great reading it." I clapped. "See, you will like it. You know it's my favorite author." Cairen's favorite author, though. "I know, you told us before in class who your favorite author is and why you like him. I was expecting you to give me one of your favorite authors' books when you suggested it."

"And what's your favorite?" "Oh that's too hard to choose sir. I mean of course I love classics like The Great Gatsby, 1984, and One Flew of the Cuckoo's Nest. I'm crazy about the James Bond books. But I have to say Misery is my favorite book. Stephen King is a genius." "So all that's told me is you read in high school and that's it. Aren't those all required reading?" "Daddy." I whispered. He took a long gulp from his glass. Sophia closed her eyes as though she was embarrassed.

Alia answered. Oh who is your favorite author then and what genre you love the most when reading? Currently Khads is my favorite author. I love her way of writing. How she can take you in the world which you know that it doesn't exist but you are trying to read. Her cliffhangers are leaving you eagerly waiting for the next chapter, her plots are also ever exciting and have meaningful struggles. I also like the fact that her female leads ain't that weak compared to other stories that l read before.

My brain was so stressed that I was sure steam was coming out of my head with how hard I was thinking. Choosing my favourite book was like asking me to do the impossible, because I couldn’t. There were just too many for my poor brain to decide. If I picked one, it would be like I was betraying the others, and I didn’t want to betray my lovely books. “I know that feeling,” he said, giving me a sympathetic smile. “But I do have a favourite author, or rather, three favourite authors. M.K. Robin, Karen Justin, and April Dove!” “April Dove! As in the same April Dove that wrote the Pink Hearts and Sunshine series?!” I gaped at him.

"Any favorites?" Scott joined her by the bookshelf, scanning the titles. "Oh, there are so many. I enjoy science fiction and fantasy genres the most. Some of my favorites include 'Dune' by Frank Herbert, 'Ender's Game' by Orson Scott Card, and 'Harry Potter' series by J.K. Rowling. But I'm always open to discovering new books too." Fiona nodded, impressed by Scott's literary tastes. She herself was an avid reader and appreciated finding common ground with him.

"Well, sometimes I watch T.V. I like, well, love to read. So I do that a lot when I'm alone." "Like what? Romance, crime thrillers?" I shrugged. "Sometimes. I really like the classics. Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, George Elliot (who was a woman, by the way). I also like the Russians, like Tolstoy and Dostoevsky. 'War and Peace' is amazing." "You've read 'War and Peace'?" "Yeah, twice. It's excellent." I cocked my head. "How about you, what do you like to read?"
