I need to find him. I was about to exit from the scene when sticky liquid splashed on me. I was petrified as I saw my clothes stained with red. I looked at my hands nervously and I realized that it was blood. A huge amount of blood. Fear spreads throughout my body and my knees shake uncontrollably. My breathing became heavy as I stared at the dead bear. The tiger killed it. I have not escaped. Black bands started to form around me. It must be because of my overwhelming fear that I unconsciously generated Nyx. The bloodied tiger looked into me with sharp eyes.

Chapter 5 Sofia's POV I spent the rest of the day lost in thought, trying to imagine what tonight's event would look like. The thought of attending a mafia gathering, where the most notorious figures would converge, sent shivers down my spine. My first encounter with the mafia still haunted me - the memory of blood splattering everywhere, the sound of gunfire echoing through the chapel, and the lifeless body crumpling to the ground. It was a gruesome reminder of the world Mark inhabited, and now, I was being pulled into its depths.

He took off the blood-stained shirt, leaving his bare chest in the open ,

The fire the old woman made was blowing hot and soft between us. I felt uneasy “What do you believe?” The old woman looked directly at me then. Not at the mark. At me. “I believe fear creates monsters faster than power ever could.” The words cut deeper than I thought they would. We remained there for a time, listening. About bloodlines that were wiped out when fear and greed led to betrayal and war. She never once yelled.
