Liam had a keen sense of smell and hearing, befitting a nocturnal animal. And he'd promised to keep Ericka safe. But still, her body couldn't control the facts alone. Her body trembled violently. She pulled her knees to her chest. Tears fell without her realizing it, not because of the dream itself, but because of the fear that accompanied it. A recurring fear that never truly faded, even as time passed. Ericka's choked sobs escaped and penetrated the thin walls of the apartment.

I looked down and what I saw terrified hell out of me. I stumbled backwards and screamed.

Carlos POV Blood. It was dripping from every opening in her body and her body was shaking vehemently in my arms. I choked on my words, my fear getting the better of me. " What the hell is happening?" I asked, afraid of what was next. I tried to suppress my growl, my insides slowly hurting at the sight of the blood. My hands shook nonstop, trying to stop the blood seeping out from the openings. I was failing miserably. I let out a growl, frustrated and afraid. One thing kept ringing in my head.
