Married To My Best Friend; Her Blood, My Passion
I made another call, this time to a security company I'd worked with before, the kind that didn't ask questions and didn't keep records.
"I need a bodyguard," I said when the line connected, "female, ex military, discreet, someone who can blend in and protect without being obvious."
"For how long?"
"Indefinitely," I looked toward my closed door, thinking of Hailey downstairs, "and she needs to start immediately."
"I have someone," the voice on the other end said, "Sarah Chen, former SAS, one of the best, she can start tomorrow."
"Today," I corrected, "I need her today, have her watch my wife, follow her everywhere, but Hailey can't know, it has to look natural."
