As I get closer, I can feel the electricity crackling around him, but I push past my fear and put a hand on his shoulder.
“Adrian,” I say softly. “It’s me. It’s Phoebe.”
He doesn’t stop growling at me and instead lowers his head as if waiting for the right time to strike.
