Scarlett's POV The sun hung low in the sky, casting elongated shadows throughout the room as I sat next to Henry, observing his struggle with the consequences of his transformation. The air felt different now, heavy with the primal scent of his wolf form. I fought to keep the fear in my chest at bay, but it was difficult, especially when his large, golden eyes met mine, filled with confusion and anguish. He lay on his side, breathing heavily, his body still quaking from the aftereffects of the change. I gently stroked his fur, trying to maintain my composure. I couldn’t let him sense my panic. Not now. Not when he needed my support the most.

In his gaze, a streak of greed flashed uncontrollably. Seeing the situation, Jasper felt more confident. Fred became more polite toward him and even took the initiative to invite him to visit Harry. In the bedroom. Jasper enthusiastically asked, "Have you two heard of the Godslayer Blade?" "Could it be like those magical weapons?" Fred showed a surprised expression. Harry looked puzzled and bemused, as if he was encountering something completely foreign or incomprehensible. What were they talking about? Harry embodied the idea of being unlearned and lacking in skills.

We want someone who’s got their ear to the ground, supernaturally speaking, so this is a good thing. “How did you know?” I ask. Crazy Harry shrugs, then leans down to pet one of the squirrels between its little pointy, tufted ears. “I know a lot of things.” When he straightens again, there’s just the hint of fear in his pale gaze. “Are you going to hurt me?”.“No,” I say, giving Kian a pointed look. I drop my arm away from the feral shifter’s chest and step bodily in front of him before he can terrify our informant into running. “Harry, are you familiar with the Tree of Life?”

Chapter Twenty-seven **** The air in the academy tonight felt suffocating. Whispers of shadows brushed along the stone walls as if the academy itself was holding its breath. I pressed my hand against my chest to quiet the hammering in my ribcage, my thoughts circling around one name—Harry. After what I’d seen in the garden—how he faced Headmistress Morwen without fear—I couldn’t pretend anymore. He wasn’t like Jason, or Kael, or even Raven. He wasn’t a boy at all. He was something else entirely.

The Anomaly that it belonged to looked like a cross between a black chicken and a lizard, its feathers glinting in the light as if they were scales, squawking angrily as its prize (my head) evaded it for the second time in as many minutes. “Stop screaming. It’s annoying,” Jester Lee muttered in my ear. He sat behind me, on the back of his Summoned Beast pegasus named Fye (who is an absolute beauty, by the way). He shot a spell at the Anomaly that burned a hole through its heart and it dropped out of the sky. I thought I heard a very faint sound when it hit the ground below, but we were too high up for me to be sure. I didn’t dare look down, either.

‘Then again, if not for purchasing that book of spells from Zero I wouldn’t have been able to do any casting, gotta be grateful for that one. After taking a huge bite from Feral’s corn Paws' anger seemed to have lessened and in no time they were as close as ever, eating nuts, dried and fresh fruits, and some sugary snacks Feral had somehow wriggled his way into getting during Genad’s sneaky ventures in the human nation. “Ready now?” Feral asked with a bright smile at the now clingy fellow who intimately rubbed his furry body onto him, “I guess that’s a yes!”

“Does that make me a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff?” “Gryffindor.” Dean smiled at him. “They are courageous, chivalrous and determined. Plus, holy shit, the special effects.” JD laughed and hugged her to him. “I didn’t think that Harry was your type of movie. But I guess the special effects make it your type.” “Yeah. Especially the parts that aren’t done completely CGI. I mean even then; you have your place holders. And of course, there’s a forest named after me.”

We didn't go to peddocks like the last time, this time we were making our way towards the front of the stable. My eyes immediately fell on Ginger, her chestnut coat shining in the sunlight as she stood quietly near the stable entrance. Next to her was a sleek white horse that seemed familiar. “That’s Pegasus, right?” I asked Harry, recalling the name he had mentioned when I saw the horse. Harry nodded, patting the horse on the neck with a fond smile. “Yep, my faithful friend here is Pegasus. Right, baby?” Pegasus didn't react, he kept eating the grass and keeping to himself.

red said, narrowing her blue eyes that subtitling changed to have slits and being yellow like a snake. The three girls gulped and just slowly backed away. I couldn’t help it. I chuckled a little and looked at the girl finding it interesting that another snake meta-human was in the house. I had the distinct impression I was going to like this bird. Beyond that, we are both snakes. She had an air about her that put her different than those birds she’d just scared off.
