Also, I got a crazy idea about a book that’ll feature all the couples from this series later on in their lives—say 7 or 10 years. I actually have a cover and a title. And a solid plot. It’s good. Trust me. Why am I sounding like a salesman? Lmao I’m just nervous. Really nervous. It’s kinda like a mystery vibe. Very different.

And maybe in the end I'll succeed. The ideas have never stopped flowing, and amidst the difficulties, I've gathered them together to tell even more stories. I have a notebook full of ideas, story segments just waiting for the right piece to fit into. I've conceived many new universes. I have a love story planned that I hope will make your heart skip a beat, between two young people wounded by the world. A horror story that I hope will take your breath away, with its demons. A fantasy that I hope will transport you to a world of mysterious creatures and strange rites.

Selena sat in front of her MacBook, typing furiously as she continued writing her latest mystery novel. She had always been passionate about writing ever since she was a little girl and had often imagined herself as a famous author in her own right. The book she was currently working on was a murder mystery set in a small town in Maine. The protagonist was a young detective named Lily who was trying to solve the mysterious murder of a wealthy businessman. As Selena wrote, her imagination ran wild, crafting plot twists and cliffhangers that would keep her readers on the edge of their seats.

I knew what was in most fantasy books: fantastical creatures and places, protagonist wins via antagonist revealing plans in some way, damsel in distress, adventure, conclusion, blah boring blah. "Where's mental illness?" "Where are parent MC's?" "Where's the government structure in fantasy books?" "Where's the tie in between worlds?" "Where's the villain who knows not to brag about their plan?" These were things I asked. So after years I created the universe, governments (loosely,) characters, plot and began. I had 5 books completed after 7 years but decided to read through it all. I did not like what I read.

The shelter on 9th and Crenshaw looked smaller than Meekey expected. Just a square of brick and peeling paint, wedged between an auto shop and a boarded-up deli. But when she stepped inside, warmth radiated from every corner—blankets stacked neatly in bins, laughter drifting from the kitchen, volunteers handing out hot bowls of soup to people who hadn’t eaten since yesterday. It was the kind of place Meekey never would’ve stepped foot in before prison. Back then, her pride was too sharp. She used to think places like this were for the weak.

He pulled the book free with one hand, and his own wet fingers brushed between her thighs again, smart with urgency. "One more time?" he rasped. Claire stared at him-ache behind her eyes, voice hoarse. "Yes," she finally breathed. "One more time." He kissed her, deep and rough. She rode him one more time, skin slick, body trembling, pulses crashing as she came again-slow, powerful, echoing under the hush of books.
