Even though I knew full well that I never ordered it. Frans spoke softly, almost as if calming a wild animal. "The Controller is testing basic motor reactions. He starts with small movements to invade his territory. Don't resist! If you do, your limbic system will panic and the LCD will become stronger." I wanted to scream. My breath was ragged with emotional anxiety. Literally, how can I fight if I can't even control my own body? My fingers started moving a little faster now. They gently tapped the blanket. Someone was playing a game of chance. Tiger spoke up immediately, his voice low and sharp, full of suppressed anger:

My heart was pounding so hard it felt like it might burst out of my chest. The fight was brutal and chaotic. I kicked the chair at the figure, forcing them to stumble back. They recovered quickly, coming at me again with the knife. I grabbed their wrist, twisting it with all my strength until the person dropped the weapon with a clatter. My movements were fueled by a mix of fear and determination, my mind a blur of survival instinct.

Pain erupted in my ribs, chest, and face as she fought back. I slammed my fists into her so hard that I was pretty sure I heard her ribs crack in her slender body. I never thought I could hurt someone like this but it was fight or flight but I couldn’t run away. I had no choice. I cocked my right fist back, putting everything I had into it, ready to end her when the coldness threw me off of her. I’m exhausted and my strength is almost spent. The heat disappears and I desperately try to call it back with no luck. The heat fizzled out and I grit my teeth and try to call upon my wolfish strength.

“He’s coming. You only have one chance. GO. Just go!” Linlin could see him over TangShi’s shoulder, pulling out of the car with water bottles and knew it was their only chance. TangShi’s blood ran cold, the way Linlin was glaring over her shoulder catapulted her into instinctive action. Fight or flight response initiating and not giving her a moment to think it through. Stroking a final hand across Linlin’s head and sobbing as she jumped up.

This is way too real to be a dream! "This way, wench!" commands the warrior. "Don't call me wench!" I yell back angrily. All the walls of self-denial that I let myself believe have come crashing down, leaving me afraid and frustrated. My fight or flight instincts are ramping up. The warrior has been kind to me so far, but I will fight him if he thinks he can push me around! The warrior quickly stalks to where I am standing. He is no longer amused at my insubordination and is now furious that I defied his orders. I see a dark storm brewing in those blue-green eyes, and he is scaring the shit out of me! Please wake up!

Ari was hyperventilating from the encounter. Just what he was afraid of, her face was broadcast all day every day, the reward was announced over and over on the TV, it will be hard to get out of the country unnoticed. "We have to change cars ... they will report this car, they'll know you're not really kidnapped, it's a whole different ball game now."

The trigger floods her body with primal fear, and her adrenaline spikes as she frantically tries to decide between fight and flight. Too late I realize I’ve badly miscalculated. Viviane won’t fight, but if she runs… Fuck. I won’t be able to stop myself in this state: my prey drive combined with the heat will force me to give chase. I don't kill, I immobilize. I was in the full battle mode now, and wolves were falling at my feet. I was ripping into the side of a gold-coloured wolf, I was distracted. Too distracted to see a rouge lunge at my right. The wolf knocked me to the floor and I growled as blood pooled from my side. The battle was drawing to a close, the rouges were retreating. The wolf tearing at my body was doing it out of spite. I struggled, made a last attempt to lunge and my teeth sunk into his throat. He thrust away from me and retreated, blood dripping from his coat. I sunk down as the pack began howling in victory, a soft smile working its way onto my lips

He pinned her to a tree “Do not move, I won’t take too long.” She rolled her eyes and scoffed. He looked at her more sternly and she shrugged and nodded. He ran in the direction of the oncoming men. She watched his accurate movements, the three of them circled him and attacked. He ducked when a punch came, and moved sideways to avoid the jab of a knife. Xavier pulled out his sword and slit a throat. He wiped some blood from his face, he faced the remaining two.
