FROST OBSESSION

FROST OBSESSION

I wasn't going to take orders from a traitor. I spun on my heel and sprinted. My brain didn't process the path; it just triggered the flight-or-fight response, and I was choosing flight because if I fought, I’d kill him. I’d sink my teeth into his throat and taste the man who had just been inside someone else. I ran until the world tilted on its axis. A one-hundred-eighty-degree polar shift of my entire existence.

The Villainess Wants To Make Baby First, Revenge Later!

The Villainess Wants To Make Baby First, Revenge Later!

My heart sank when I realized again that I was running away from some shit situation again. At first, I thought it was a wise plan. Because I only need to pay attention to the people I go with, without hurting or harming other people. After all, there is a survival strategy called fight or flight, which reinforces my understanding that running away is not a cowardly act. Besides, I don't have the energy to fight. “Why should I run away again? Questions like that pop up in my head and heart from time to time, Dylan. And that bothers me quite a bit.”

Fighting Fate

Fighting Fate

Which either means Jimmy is overconfident…or I’m too late. A horrific cry of “ROCCO” shatters the quiet, silencing Troy and Jacob’s muttered conversation and sending my wolf into action. I kick my shoes off as the rest of my body begins to shift. Quickly my limbs elongate and strengthen, rippling muscle and brown fur overtaking as I adapt to my stronger form. My teeth are quickly extended and snapping, ready to fight. Without even waiting for Troy or Jacob I set off through the woods. She is alive, she can be saved. Even if it takes my life.

Another great story written by Alle! I really enjoyed the characters conversing with the reader, it was a really neat perspective that I’ve never read before now! This book has it all- love, humor, excitement, danger, heartbreak, and healing … all bundled up nicely with a bow. READ IT!

I have read this twice now and absolutely love it! Rocco's character is nothing short of spectacular. I just adore him. I am also slightly obsessessed with the way the characters talk to the reader in this book! Highly recommend this book, as well as all of Alle's books!

My Little Kitten

My Little Kitten

I couldn't hold back the smile so I just nodded my head and went off. I were inside the stall when I heard someone come in, the lock turned and I cringed I really hope I were not about to get out of here and see two people going at it like a bunch of jumping rabbits. So I finished up and flushed the toilet with the hopes they actually know someones in here, but as I round the corner a man were blocking the doorway. I tried my best to act normal as I felt fear starting to grip me, I went over to wash my hands trying not to make eyecontact. I finished up and politely asked him to move, but there was something in his eyes. Something that I have seen so many times before, something that made a c

Payment To the Alpha

Payment To the Alpha

My nostrils were flaring and I felt my eyebrows furrow. ’FIGHT AVERY!’ ”AARGH!!” It hurts! Like someone is trying to press my skull together, turning my brain to mush. Fight. I need to fight. I was moving my arm, it was shaking trying to rise. My feet were trying to move and my eyes were set on the knife laying on the pedestal beside me. Fight. I need to fight. I pressed my arm down with all the energy that was left in me and held it by my side. It was like moving against gravity.

Fighting Flames With A FireFighter

Fighting Flames With A FireFighter

she cries out. A shudder ran through her body, but she kept her arms against the wall over her head. “Fucking Hell!” he groaned. Sadie was so fucking tight, dripping, and hot a fuck. And he was about to lose his shit. His hands slapped against the wall above her head; he kept his body close against hers and began to plunge deeply, building up speed.

Straying Echo: Fighting to Escape an Obsessed Alpha

Straying Echo: Fighting to Escape an Obsessed Alpha

James replied, drawing everyone’s attention quickly away from me. Atlas shifted and pulled me to his side, giving me a chance to breathe in his scent to calm my racing heart. I knew I wasn’t in any danger, but their raised voices while reminiscing, combined with the slamming of Travis’ hand on the table, had set off my fight, flight, or freeze instincts. After ten years of being beaten into submission, I had fine-tuned to know which response would be best for varying situations, and this one was a freeze response. If I don’t draw attention to myself, they may move on quickly, without feeling a need to turn their full attention to me.

The Alpha and The Outcast

The Alpha and The Outcast

She propelled forward, her mind racing as she weighed on her decision to fight or ran. With a final surge of courage, Lily unleashed her resolve. She knew she had no choice but to break free, to elude the imminent threat of Jake’s presence. Taking the opposite direction, she burst into a sprint and quickly shift. The process of shifting every time she wanted to become a natural reflex that does not need concentration every time her adrenaline surged.

 My Single Daddy Alpha.

My Single Daddy Alpha.

When I’d first arrived in New Middle Bluff, I’d talked to Lana about my panic attacks and nightmares. I was having the strangest responses to the panic—it was almost like I wasn’t experiencing fight-or-flight at all—I just became paralyzed. I couldn’t do anything. Couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe. “That’s because there’s more than just fight-or-flight,” Lana had told me. “There’s also fawn and freeze. It sounds like you’re freezing.”

THE MINIATURE WOLF

THE MINIATURE WOLF

My nose flared to catch every change in testosterone and adrenaline that would let me know when he was about to attack. He started using every move he knew, his fists darting out, his feet kicking fiercely, but now I was full of wolf hearing, wolf reflexes. Nothing he sent at me connected; the wolf danced aside to avoid his attacks. A wolf would typically go for legs to cripple its prey. Human arms snapped out instead of wolf jaws. I swung off of his kicking legs, bringing him down. I spun into his punches, jamming my elbow into his side. My actions blended with his movements.
