The thick smoke made it difficult for her to see, and she coughed uncontrollably, her eyes turning red from the lack of oxygen. Despite the danger, Margret remained determined and tried to move forward. However, the intense heat of the fire pushed her back, leaving her feeling dehydrated and her throat constricted. As the fire closed in on her, Margret felt increasingly helpless and weak, coughing relentlessly as her face turned red.

I could see fire blazing above me, hear the screaming of those caught in the flames, as I continued to claw my way back to the surface. I am Ember’s only hope of survival. I won’t hesitate to do that — after all, I don’t even care about Justin. Osline hesitated, but when she saw the sad look on Justin’s face, her heart must have melted, because she finally gave in. She watched with a curious emptiness, but could not turn away. The fire enticed something within her. The pack sounded an alarm once smoke was detected from the town, where most residents were busy themselves. The firefighters arrived quickly. “Who started this fire?” Alpha Oliver growled as he assessed the intensity of the fire that was beginning to lean towards the surrounding trees. The last thing any pack wants is an uncontained forest fire. The forest was not only their hunting grounds for wild livestock, but it was also a shelter and protection from the elements and approaching enemies.

Raiden's pov I let out a howl as we burst through the final line of the forest. The house was consumed by flames, black smoke rising to the sky and painting the night air with the stench of smoke and burnt flesh. There are a lot of the pack members surrounding the burning structure, mom and dad, Lester.....Damon. Everyone tries to help the firefighters who were part of the pack as well. But the flames seemed angry, relentless to eat the structure alive.
