**Kelly Thompson's POV** The fortress is no longer a fortress—it’s a *nexus*. The oak’s roots have grown beyond the crystalline forest, threading through the fabric of reality itself. The flowers bloom in every color imaginable, their petals shimmering with fragments of timelines both lived and unlived. The Forgotten who remain have become something else entirely—guardians, gardeners, or perhaps prisoners. Their mutations have stabilized, but their eyes hold a distant, almost reverent glow. They call the oak **the Worldheart** now, and they speak of it in whispers, as if afraid it might hear.

Chapter One: A New Beginning Aqua’s heart raced as she walked through the imposing iron gates of Crestwood High. Another town, another school, another chance to start over—if only it were that simple. At 5'10", her presence commanded attention, but she preferred to stay unnoticed. Her dark skin glowed under the morning sun, and her eyes, a striking shade of amber, held secrets untold. She pulled her hood tighter, hoping to shield herself from the prying eyes she could already feel on her.

I sighed heavily, the weight of our endeavor pressing down on me. Alex quickly interjected, aiming to alleviate my concerns. "But this time, you don't need to do anything except watch movies." He introduced me to a new, small dragon, a creature of the digital realm. "This is the subconscious artificial intelligence I've just created, named Suba," he explained, a hint of pride in his voice.

Nathaniel smirked and laughed. "They used to knock on the door, every time I'm about to burn, whew," he fixed himself and started to walk towards their door. Kristina couldn't help but laugh aloud. She knew how frustrated her husband was every time their kids interfered. "Well, you knew them, haha," Kristina fixed herself too. Nathaniel opened the door and Nathan, their child, was there. "Hey Nathan, why are you knocking?" Nathaniel asked his son. Nathan is his father's replica. A mini Nathaniel figure.

Chasm held the plate out to Rhylent so the alien would take it back. "No?" Rhylent took the device with a frown. "You are not happy to give it to me, so I will not take it." "I am not pleased that I still cannot see into your mind." Rhylent shoved the plate into Chasm's arms. "I am frustrated that you are still able to compartmentalize your thoughts and hide your feeling from me. I am annoyed but impressed that you can do it every time." I felt like I shouldn’t have said anything while he looked at me like I was stupid. “The White Wolf is a bitch called Sylvia, who looks like a dog; just like you. Her fur is pure white, so you can’t miss her, but she is very fast. We tried to capture her in the past a few years back with another Soul Stealer, but she found out our plan and ripped his head off. She has two children, Ringo and Orlando; you can try to get to her through them if you can. Her brother, Xaivier, is always around; killing him first before making a move would be wise.”
