Richmond Park was dark and gloomy, lit by the distant group of people in tents. Fenrir raised a hand and opened a five-foot-wide portal that led to the same marble hallway I had infiltrated with Ophois. My brows pulled together, and I was about to ask a question when he glanced in the direction of the distant humans and ushered us inside. Griff and I stepped in first, followed by Fenrir, and the portal behind us closed. “Can you make openings into any dimension of Hell?” I asked. Fenrir shook his head. “Only the Sixth, because it was my prison for two-thousand years.”

ZAIRE’S POV "Shit, they absolutely carved them open, man. I can't even hate." Spencer said, scrolling through his phone as he read off the stats from yesterday’s game between the Milton Lions and the Eastbrook Ravens. We were sitting at our usual table under the tree in the quad, eating lunch. The break wasn't over for about the next fifteen minutes. “Come on, this is the Ravens we’re talking about,” Finn said with a dismissive roll of his eyes. “They’re shit. I'm sure we are going to destroy them too when we play them.”

Limits: no blood, no permanent marks, no scat. Everything else… negotiable.” Lila’s heart slammed against her ribs.

Every trained fighter here could leap higher, hit harder and react faster than any human who wasn’t blessed. But past that… things got strange. A few, through either sheer will or breaking point moments, awakened their stage 2, Soul Arts; these are only accessible when awakened, and they call for you. These were as unique as fingerprints, shaped by the user’s nature, dreams and deepest desires. One fighter might summon storms; another might turn shadows into weapons. A few believe that there is a 3rd stage, but it has not been proven or known by most. Tanaka flicked his wrist; the pink card appeared between his fingers, ready for Ringo's next attack, but Ringo was already grinning wide.

A bolt of lightning had coursed through me. “Ah!! Please leave me!! Please!!” I whimpered and begged. ‘ I am giving you one last chance. Go back to Eva’s home. Get the deciphering device and the book of prophecies. Then, kill both of them. If you fail this time I promise you I will make you beg for death.’

She declared before striking the hedgehog with all her might, the poor flamingo’s skull smacking into this creature, sending it rolling through her legs at the mystery person. “RUN!” I screamed, hoping whoever it was could get away without being hurt. Maybe it’s August? I mean, that could make sense. This is my mind, so it’s also his. We share a head, so maybe he’s trying to dig his way past the wall the Shit Witch put up. “Player Two has left the game!” What does that mean? Did player two escape? Did they die!? I hope it’s the former. No one deserved to die by a giant hedgehog. I’m going with that they escaped based on the mood shift in the Queen’s face.
