Off Limits
I reached into the deep pocket of my utility jacket and pulled out a thick, heavy manila folder, throwing it straight at his face.
The folder hit his chest, the heavy steel paper clip snapping open as it tumbled onto the black obsidian desk. A hundred pages of financial printouts, server access logs, and encrypted transaction records erupted across his pristine workspace like a flock of white birds caught in a wind turbine.
Peter didn't look down at the papers. His eyes stayed locked on mine.
"What is this, Jeremy?"
