I cried out and shielded my face, stumbling back. The mist surged. The ground trembled. When I opened my eyes again— The Silver Moon Flower had bloomed. Its petals unfurled slowly, like it had waited centuries for this moment. They were glowing with a soft, otherworldly light, silver with flecks of iridescent blue, like the surface of the moon reflecting a thousand hidden stars. I felt a part of me stir, an ancient and powerful part. The flower had accepted me. I didn't bask in the euphoria for too long, knowing I didn’t have a second to waste.

The bloom alone, standing in the turned soil, the stem thin and certain. I crouched at the edge of the bed. I looked at it. The flower’s golden aura shimmered; its sharp, intricate petals too numerous for Sarang to count amid the excitement. At its heart, a soft light began to dissipate, revealing a small, precious stone nestled within.
