My Five Forbidden Bikers
Jane and I opened the bar like we always did, going through the motions, trying to keep busy but neither of us could focus.
Every now and then, I caught her glancing at the door, her expression tightening just slightly before she forced herself back to work.
After a while, I walked over and wrapped my arms around her from behind, resting my chin lightly on her shoulder.
“You haven’t sworn off biker guys completely, have you?” I teased gently.
She hesitated before shaking her head, her voice quieter when she spoke. “No… I haven’t.”
I waited.
“I don’t even know when it happened,” she admitted, glancing at me. “But I actually like Dante.”
