The grass told the story before anyone said a word. Flattened in two distinct patches, a few feet apart. A scuffed groove where someone's heel had dug in hard enough to tear up turf. A single dark stain on a nearby leaf, too small to be conclusive, too specific to be nothing. Rowan crouched beside it, studying the pattern with the part of his brain that still thought like a bodyguard even when the job title didn't apply anymore. Not a break-in. A confrontation. "You," he said to the nearest guard, straightening. "Walk me through it."

whispered Matteo, instantly bringing Luna back to her senses. The girl’s eyes widened as she looked around; she was in a public place now. Quickly, Luna released her arms from around Matteo’s neck and smoothed her clothes. Before finally running towards the Magnolia Spring Resort building. It was a deeply painful sight for Adrian. The man stared with disgust at the shameless lovebirds before him. He hated Luna’s stupid bodyguard, who always prevented Adrian from touching or kissing the girl on their dates, following them wherever they went. But what was Adrian seeing now? Hopefully this year, when I'm turning twenty three I'll get a permanent bodyguard, one I can actually bond with not old snubs. I took my bath and got ready for school. I got a message on my phone. I pray in my heart that the bodyguard intervenes right now , he is the only one that can save me. “Honey…we both know that is a lie…and if I were you , I would signal your body guard that you are okay” he rolls his eyes when I look at him. How does he know about the bodyguard? I look behind him and see him walking towards us.

I bit my lip, trying to find a way not to meet Calliope and Sharmaine and to get out of sight of the bodyguards. Calliope and Sharmaine were getting closer and closer to me, so I decided to walk into a room right behind me to avoid meeting them. As for the other bodyguards, I'll deal with them later. At this moment, my heart felt like it was going to burst out of my chest. I carefully locked the latch inside, slowly regaining my breath. Suddenly, I heard the voice of a bodyguard; it seemed they had met Calliope and Sharmaine. They were standing in front of the room where I was hiding. "Have you met a woman in a black dress?"

“I should’ve asked the doctor… I don’t know if you’re supposed to have any water.” I try shaking my head and she sits back down. “Well, to answer your question,” she begins, rubbing her hand on her jeans. “I hear it was your bodyguard, Gypsy I think, who found you unmoving in the living room.” Gypsy? But how? I clearly recall telling him and Ky to leave…unless they didn’t. “You know, I never for once suspected him. I don’t know why.” Pressing my lips together, I look away, to the window on the right of me. It’s gloomy outside, with dark clouds covering the city. Something similar to how I’m feeling right now.

I stared at the caller ID without interest and was about to toss the cell phone aside, before I realized that it was my bodyguard calling. No one told me anything, and I quickly sat up on the bed with great anticipation as I answered the call. I tried to remain calm as I demanded from him, “Well? Did you find her? Were you successful in locating where she is?”. “Yes”. His reply did something to me. I felt my eyes lighten up greatly, and to me, it was money well spent. I knew I had spent a lot of money in order to find her location, but it was worth it.

My legs almost gave way I opened it slowly, but the face I saw was a man's. It was not dad nor Jane. That made me open the next bag even faster. But the body was not of them. Looking closer, I could see the lady. It was Ruth. The new bodyguard assigned to Jane "Where are they?" I asked hysterically "Who?"

They must have discovered my empty chambers. In a panic, I scrambled to find a new hiding spot, but it was too late. My door burst open and Hunter stormed in, flanked by two armed guards. I yelped in surprise, instinctively clutching the book tighter to my chest beneath my shirt. Hunter's eyes widened at my state of undress, still in just a thin nightshift with the book creating an obvious bulge under the fabric. I watched a flush creep up his stubbled cheeks as I stood there, frozen like a deer in headlights.

"Aww a mini Lance. That's so adorable. And what's the book about." "About a girl falling for someone unexpected. The same guy that told her on her worst day that, one day a stranger will walk into her life and will flip her world upside down. And it will make her realize as to why it never worked out with anyone else but him." I smiled while looking at him in the crowd. "The book is called, My Personal BodyGuard. Based on true events." I smiled. Once my interview was over there was a meet and greet. I walked over there and there was a big line. It lasted about 2 hours.
